- The squeegee technique is a painting technique in abstract acrylic painting and is one of my favourite painting techniques. This video, as the third in a small series, shows that rust and patina effects are also possible in the abstract squeegee technique.n my squeegee painting I also use the metallic colour copper, which, in contrast to bronze, has a slightly reddish shimmer. But I also apply bronze in this painting because it uses much cooler tones than my recent videos. I paint in my own style the squeegee technique made popular by Gerhard Richter. He is one of the greatest German artists for me. In contrast to his large paintings and large squeegee tools, my canvas is naturally small. I hope you enjoy discovering the squeegee technique! I tried one of these for my Friday (this week) video. I had a cheapy canvas, and worked with the tools I had...I like it! My canvas was too loose (even after tightening it up)...definitely need Gallery Wrapped! I wonder if you use much pressure on your big squeegee? I had to because my canvas was droopy, but yours looks like you are not pressing down. I added a litle gold leaf to mine when it was done...it is cool, and I love it! I tagged you on my video. Can you help me with the pressure question?

Usually I don’t have to put much pressure on the canvas, but I use really good canvases. There’s a point when you have a lot of paint on the canvas and on your tool than you probably will stuck. You cannot go on for a while so you need to be patient. I hope that this helps you.
@@ingascolorart I can definitely see where having a good canvas would make a huge difference. I didn't want to do my first one on a great canvas...because I didn't want to waste the money if I didn't like it. I DID like it, and can't wait to get tools that fit the task.

@@ingascolorart Thank you! I have tried a couple of times on smaller canvas which is where I believe the problem is! Too many colors on a smaller canvas! I’m waiting for my cake knife from Amazon! I really like the results of this type of painting! Your work is beautiful! I’m also doing liquid/fluid paint pouring as well!

Hallo liebe Claudia, vielen Dank! Nein, zwischen den Farbaufträgen trocknet normalerweise keine Schicht. Manchmal benutze ich einen Fön, um etwas zu fixieren, transluzente Farben beispielsweise.

Wie wird der Rahmen von den Rakelbildern gestaltet. Bleibt der weiß?
Hallo Angelika, weiß bzw „ungestaltet“ bleibt der Rahmen meiner Rakelbilder nicht. Sie bekommen entweder einen schwarzen Rand oder eine auf dem Bild vorkommende Farbe, die dann gut dazu passt. LG 🌸🌺🙋🏻♀️

Bueno. Es el nombre de la técnica, no la herramienta con la que se realiza la técnica. La pintura se despega con una herramienta, que la herramienta sea de metal, goma o plexiglás no es importante. La técnica funciona incluso con un cartón. Como ya he dicho, para mí se trata de un error de traducción porque no se dispone de la palabra adecuada y, por lo tanto, se toma una similar. Y de ahí viene esta irritación, que lamento mucho.
