The guy burnt his voice out and if you pay attention to this clip you can see him ease off at times. These songs are hard to maintain optimal breathing and Bon never had proper vocal lessons. His own songs and work ethic killed his voice. Ver sad and admirable at the same time. As a singer in a band I come here to admire and always remember what happens if you don’t get proper vocal lessons . Bon would still be awesome today if he had proper training.

He's had to lower the key on almost every other video I've seen online when he's been singing it live as well. Not good. I hate it when artists record and release songs that they can't sing live in it's original key. Great song recorded, terribly executed live. :/
Mr Misathropist I think most artists not all lower the key as otherwise they wouldn't make the tour. In case of Bon Jovi, well Jon is kind of on and off but he's never been a strong singer live, most times he's weak and skips a lot despite lowered key.
Tuning a half step down doesnt mean its gonna be terrible. Tons of artists had done it, the most important thing for a musician is to transmit your art, what you feel to the crowd. Jon was always great on that.
