Spring's psychedelic paisleys and magical mushroom prints were replaced by Veronica Etro's twenties constructivism, which included some relevant Art Deco brightness.
The presentation began with a round-shouldered, short-sleeved coat with thick fur cuffs, which has become a staple of the season.
Hers included thin saffron satin slacks and a natural linen tweed with geometric color blocks.
Etro next moved on to layering, with belted side-button tunic vests over pussy-bow silk-print blouses and willowy, high-waisted slacks; and a plaid anorak with a fur collar above a purple pleated skirt with buckles at the sides. She wore drop-waist gowns with crystal embroidery at the hems and embellished racer-back straps for the evening. Ropes were used to suspend longer tank dresses from the shoulders.
