Great video! Would make a great future video of how it holds up or how to reinforce it in the future for diy people! Lol maybe you can add on a video of adding 2 RYOBI 1800 psi pressure washer together!
Nice setup! The simple solution for mounting would be to have two of the four 1/2" holes drilled through the metal stud on one side. Use the same anchors and washers. The difference in mounting strength would be much more appropriate. Both sides are best, but your holes would need to match the stud spacing. Which should be 12", 16", or 24". The best but most expensive and complex would be to mount the appropriate size piece of 3/8" or even 1/2" HDPE plastic. This would also add a waterproofing solution as well. Two 1/2" holes with the same anchors and washers into the studs on both sides (four total). Then, four 1/2" holes mounting the shelf the same way you mounted it in the video but drilled through the HDPE and the drywall. This would have a total of eight anchors and help prevent any water from seeping into the drywall. You could use other water-resistant backing plates using the same mounting method, but it probably wouldn't be as ridged or as waterproof, but less expensive. The other good thing about this solution is that it would cover at least two if not all four of the holes you already drilled. Thanks for the great content!
You know that you have wall studs you should mount to as moisture will eventually weaken the drywall. You can measure from the side of the outlet mounted to the stud. Stud detector and a level are a mans best friend! Looks good though.
Yea, but the walls are just interior warehouse so it’s built with a metal type frame… I could probably still drill into that, but it does feel really solid as is so I’m just keeping an eye on it. If I feel like it starts being an issue I will build out a support for it
Is a great machine, customer service on point. The only issue I have had so far is having to double trigger my gun in order to get the electric motor going. Looks like the unloader valve may be getting stuck, no sure yet. I'll get it on video for the CS Mike Ballesteros since all troubleshooting to date did not fix it.
Good to hear! Yea I have heard of some issues with the pressure switch. I think you can replace the spring behind it to a slightly larger one.. did they recommend trying that?
I guess I'll add my voice to the concerns of using drywall anchors. My go-to with any weight on a wall is to find the studs and mount to them. Having said that, the gentleman who is a contractor says you chose the correct anchors so what do I know? I hope the system works well for you. Now go get a GFCI unit and swap it out! We need you around to learn from! Take care.
haha thanks and yes the gfci is an easy replacement that i will be doing. i understand the concern with the drywall and I will continue to monitor it but it does feel solid. Some people mention concern of the drywall and moisture weakening it, but with a 50 hose and no leaks i dont see why the drywall would get wet
@@imjoshv I’m a contractor with 50 years experience and I will tell you those Sheetrock mounts you used are the best ones out there and are my “go to” when I have to screw into drywall. Nice job
FWIW...by code, any walls that directly separate a garage space from "living area" are required to be fire rated, which means at least 1/2" sheetrock. But who knows what they may have gotten away with. Just watch that the vibration doesnt cause the anchors to loosen and lose their effective holding strength. Also, why did you choose to go with this unit over the Active 2.0 or 2.3? Just curious. 😊
It feels super solid. I figured I would either open the wall to add support or try this and if it rips out then the wall is opened for me. It really does feel rock solid tough but time will tell
Well I purchased the BigBoi WashR Pro fixed mount back in April and it showed up within 5 days of purchasing . The WashR Pro washer was out of stock and I was assured by Big Boi that it would be available for order in May then that changed to early to mid June then that got extended out to mid July and then after late July past I asked to have a refund on the order. It’s end of August and no WashR Pro washer is available in the US. So I installed the fixed mount WashR Pro shelf/reel and installed an AR630 TSS in lieu of the WashR Pro pressure washer. It’s an awesome set up and pretty quiet of a unit. BigBoi will have to get their act together for the US market. They just haven’t been able to deliver on the core product.
Indeed I was very fortunate and because it was on my credit card got it refunded. Again BigBoi has a long way to go here in the US. The difference that I paid by going with AR is reputations, reliability and history of service that produces piece of mind from the consumer’s perspective. It’s almost October, 6 months past the BigBoi’s anniversary sale of the Washer Pro and they still have no core product here in the states. Again warranty and service is only as good as the time it’s exercised and tested and then the reputation follows. BigBoi is off to a rough start.
So i have a washr duo, what would be best for me, i wash in my driveway and detail in my garage out of the sun. Would it be best to wall mount or take around on a cart? Thank you if you respond.
I just pre-ordered the pro washer and will want to get a longer 60 foot hose. The big boi hose is pricey and the Adam’s super flex hose seems to be identical other than the Adam’s hose comes with female QC on each side. What do you recommend?
Hanging 70+ pounds of a vibrating machine off 4 drywall anchors, then having a hose reel where you pull the hose away from the wall is a disaster waiting to happen.
I personally always unreel the hose before turning the unit on. I also pull the trigger to release all pressure before reeling it up but there would definitely still be some water left in the hose still. However, each of the anchors has a weight rating above the weight I’m putting up. 106lbs in half inch drywall. It’s not completely cumulative but having 4 anchors spread out over the area should also increase the overall weight capacity. I will be keeping an eye on it though to test what how it does
@@imjoshv The problem is not what the anchor is supposedly rated for, it's the drywall that concerns me. That weight rating is probably shear strength, hanging a 70lb picture with the weght pulling straight down. What you have is 4 anchors in a fairly close area and the vibrating load is not only pulling down but also out. Drywall is nothing more than 2 sheets of paper with gypsum in between and you said it felt like less than 1/2" thick, which is why i said it's a disaster waiting to happen. If you had put 8 anchors in a 3sq ft area it doesn't mean the drywall could handle 560lb.
Non related question: I just bought the microfiber towels at Sam’s. 16 x 16 80/20 and 36 count for $16. They appeared to be “perfect” for a rinseless wash. Have you reviewed these? If not, can you? We think a lot alike with the financial vs quality in detailing. I trust your opinion.
I haven’t used those in quite some time so I can’t say for sure. However, from what I remember the Costco packs seemed to be a bit better quality than the Sam’s club ones. They may have changed them since then though. I’ll try and pick up some packs soon
@imjoshv great vid as always. Have a quick question. Have you ever dealt with CarPro Lift pre-wash ? I'm looking for a cheaper foam cannon pre-wash that works great. Any suggestions for that matter? My business is growing and I'm trying to go a little more cost effective while still using a quality product. Needing something not quite ph neutral because I'm dealing with a few really dirty vehicles now that I've picked up some new clients.
Yea I’ve used it and it’s a great product. It’s a ph of 12 in the bottle which dilutes down to a lower ph as it hits the panel… I use a lot of koch chemie product. They have super foam which is a 12 or 12.5 and active foam which is 9 or 9.5. For me in my area active foam works even better for me. A liter of active foam is $20 so that might be worth looking into as well
I’m still having issues with mine kicking off where I have to press the button on the side of the unit to get it to kick back on. This has happened every time I’ve used it since it came in. It’s very disappointing! They told me it had to be in a 20 amp circuit which mine is. It’s on a circuit by itself so it should be plenty. I’ve just emailed them again after watching this video so it is nice to know this is fixable. I hope to hear back quickly!

Lousy is not the word I would use from my experience, it is down right atrocious. I returned my Pro 2 month ago and I am still fighting with them on getting my money back. Not sure how Josh can support such a company.
That’s was my initial thought. That way I could more anchors and spread the weight out, but I wanted to test it this way and it does feel really solid. Time will tell and I’ll do an update if it comes down to it
Love how quiet these units are from BigBoi. You' re probably sick of hearing it but, I would never trust the drywall for holding all that weight, vibration and stress from using the reel. Anytime there's a hollow wall using the metal studs, a backboard with toggle bolts must be used. It is annoying to have to do more prep for this install but, its a necessary annoyance.
Yeah non stop ha, I was planning on using a larger backing and the mounting to that but I wanted to see how these would hold up. It feels extremely solid so I figured I’d test it out. I’m definitely keeping a close on it and will adjust if needed

The hose it comes with a steel braided and the flexzilla is not… but Bigboi has a similar hose to that as an option so I would think it should be fine to use!!
I use the ar630tss in my truck. It’s an absolute beast and hasn’t let me down for years. Because of my confidence in that machine, if I were to choose between the two for my own unit I would probably do the ar
@@imjoshv I appreciate the reply!! The biggest part for me is availability. The AR is readily available, the BB isn't. I wonder if the mount will work for the AR? It looks beefy!! Thanks again Josh!!
Someone commented saying they had ordered the Bigboi wall mount and then ordered the washr pro… the washr pro was back ordered so they went with an ar630 and they said they were able to mount it on the Bigboi wall unit!! I haven’t measured but they did say it fit
They have a mk2 coming out so I think that’s supposed to resolve the spiking. Mine had t done it or atleast not to the point of tripping a breaker so if it is I just haven’t noticed.. hopefully the mk2 resolved that for people
Would have been better off just getting a sheet of plywood and paining it and screwing it into the studs. Also, the anchors at Lowes are far better than the Home Depot ones. So much easier to use and far less defects.
Ha yeah that’s true and I would have if once I installed it didn’t feel as solid as it does. For now I want to test it like this since it feels secure and keep an eye on it. If it rips off the wall I’ll add the supports
Eeek, I totally would have used a 4x8 plywood backing setup. They totally sent you that stuff for free didn't they? :) I would be worried everytime I would use it.
Oh man, watch out. I had this pro unit and it didn't work reliably in the US. I couldn't get any help out of their customer service either, and finally had to cancel the charge on my card.
I would not trust it mounted just through the drywall, it will come down. Seen to many people mount TVs with those in drywall and have the drywall fail and down comes the tv. You should have found the metal studs and drilled into the center of the metal studs. That way your toggle bolt would be against the metal. Far less likely for the metal stud to fail compared to the drywall.
That’s a good point. I kept with this because it does feel extremely solid and I’ll be the guinea pig on this.. if it rips out of the wall I’ll do an update
Do you not have a stud finder? Did you read the below comments? Unless you had some POS do it yourself or drywall your garage there’s a 99% chance that the outlet is to a stud. But yet you move over 8 inches away from the stud. This is the first one of your post that I watched, but have you never built anything before? I wish you the best but I doubt that with the weight of your pressure washer hose plus the fact that you’ll be pulling the hose away from the wall situation will fail.
Anyone that are real users of bigboi have anything good to say about them and their products? I was considering the big boi and active 2.3 but people are really unhappy with bigboi pro and bigboi customer service.
Josh, with the outlet that close to the water supply / washer, it would be wise to get a GFCI outlet in place of that standard outlet. The GFCI will protect you from getting electrocuted if water gets on the outlet. Slim chance of getting juiced but the odds are never zero. Cheers!
@@imjoshvThe outlet may already be GFCI protected by a GFCI breaker? If not, swapping out the outlet is the cheapest way, if it is the only outlet on the circuit you want protected. If the outlet is not the only outlet on the circuit and you want all the outlets protected, you can swap out the breaker for a GFCI breaker. This is more expensive but the breaker will protect all the outlets on the circuit no matter their location in the circuit. Or, the outlet you swap out to a GFCI can protect all the down stream outlets as well. (If wired correctly) But, it will not protect any outlets between the breaker and the new GFCI replacement. However, If it is the first outlet in the circuit and wired correctly you are good to go. Also, if it is a 20 amp circuit and the only outlet on the circuit, make sure you buy a 20 amp GFCI outlet. If it isn't the only outlet on the 20 amp circuit, then a 15 amp GFCI outlet will work fine. I hope this helps. Personally in your situation I would install a 20 amp GFCI outlet and install it with a in-use outdoor rated cover. Or if you needed to replace the breaker, then I would also replace the 15amp outlet with an 20 amp outlet with the outdoor in-use rated cover. This is overkill, but the 20 outlet is much better made and the in-use cover will help prevent the GFCI from tripping if the outlet is accidentally sprayed.
Bro there's a stud right in front of you a solid piece of plywood on the stud then the pressure washer please do this video over please there's people who's going to be doing the same thing.... it's not good, dude
Mounting a piece of plywood and then mounting it to that was my initial thought. However after putting it up if feels extremely solid so I figured I’d be the guinea pig as time will tell
Personally I feel duped by Bigboi as they were certainly aware of power limitations compared to Australia and European countries. So I have a heavyweight bunch of nothing and 700 bucks out of my pocket. Sham all day. Unit you have MKII or original? That wasn't clear.
Oh im sorry to hear that.. they did design these differently for the us compared to the other countries units but im not sure how much testing was done stateside. The one I’m running is the original unit, I don’t think the update is out just yet
I was originally thinking of mounting a piece of plywood at multiple points with the anchors to the drywall to help spread out the weight. However after putting it up it feels nice and solid. So I decided to leave it that way and see how it holds up. If I notice anything I’ll remove it and build out some supports
I’ve bought lots of stuff you recommend. My biggest regret is that crappy 50 foot blue hose, piece of junk!!!! Coils back on itself repeatedly. I got the handle sprayer with the swivel to avoid this, but it doesn’t help. It’s even kinked and stopped working. I’d never recommend that hose.

Thanks mate. Would you rather Flexzilla?
Would you pick this over the AR630? I mean obviously you have, because you just installed it. Problem is I'm having a problem finding stock in Canada!
@@imjoshvhow long is the hose that on that reel? I’m hoping to fit at least a 60-75’ hose. Not sure it’ll fit a 100’. Thanks again!!
Do they have a retractable unit for the hose?
Just the hand wind for now
Dope set up looks clean too did they fix the issue with the pressure washer ?
They have a mk2 coming out so I think that’s supposed to resolve the spiking. Mine had t done it or atleast not to the point of tripping a breaker so if it is I just haven’t noticed.. hopefully the mk2 resolved that for people
Would have been better off just getting a sheet of plywood and paining it and screwing it into the studs. Also, the anchors at Lowes are far better than the Home Depot ones. So much easier to use and far less defects.
I really like your videos. But it would be very easy to cut a hole in that dry wall and add a couple of 2x4 s to screw into. I'm just saying.
How can I get this pressure washer? It is always out of stock
Do not buy this unit. Get the AR 630TSS.
Oh man, watch out. I had this pro unit and it didn't work reliably in the US. I couldn't get any help out of their customer service either, and finally had to cancel the charge on my card.
Hey John yea I heard of some issues for people. Mine hasn’t had any issue so hopefully it wasn’t all of them…
Man I wish they would sell the gun separately. I'm a sucker for the color green.
It’s on their website for $70
@@andrewadame4446 OMG it is. It didn't used to be. It was only in the bundle with the hose and the wand.
👍👍
Cheers!
Yeah I agree 100%!! I’ll get that one switched out
@@imjoshvThe outlet may already be GFCI protected by a GFCI breaker?
Personally I feel duped by Bigboi
as they were certainly aware of power limitations compared to Australia and European countries.
Why not mount a sheet of plywood to your wall?
he used drywall anchors. presumably no studs to attach to.
I was originally thinking of mounting a piece of plywood at multiple points with the anchors to the drywall to help spread out the weight. However after putting it up it feels nice and solid. So I decided to leave it that way and see how it holds up. If I notice anything I’ll remove it and build out some supports
But it’s impossible to buy..
I’d never recommend that hose.
really? Im sorry about that. Its the uberflex hose right? I love mine and dont have any issues with it. Ive had multiple and theyve all been great
@@imjoshv it’s your fault. I just had such high expectations. I’ve laid it out in the sun before using it, in hopes it would soften up, but it still coils up. Seems to have too much memory, if that makes sense. I really enjoy your channel 👍👍
@@scottk2774is it the Uber flex hose or some other brand?
@@dean9788 yes sir, Uber Flex
Come on man. You don't have a stud finder?
It’s an interior warehouse wall that just uses lightweight metal framing… I’m keeping an eye on the set up and will switch up and add supports if needed but so far it feels really sturdy
@@imjoshv Gotcha. Yeah you might have to reinforce it at some point. Especially through time and vibration.
