Great graphics to go with your cool, kid-friendly explanation of transposition and saxophone history. I'm going to show this to some of my younger students, but they may need to pause it to read the closed captions. I also wonder, too, if the C melody sax will ever make a come-back. But then again, playing both Bb & Eb horns in church and small groups with only piano scores developed my sight transposition, a skill that helped me become comfortable in all 12 keys. So, like Nobita, playing with Shizuka is much more fun than playing alone. Learning transposition is a very important skill for all saxophonists. Your video does a great job showing students it's a cool skill to develop.
Thank you for your kindness and encouragement as always!😊 Regarding the subtitles, I hope you can understand my broken English...😅 And because I am worried that the video is too long, so I deliberately speed up the speech, so the subtitles may be more compact. I am sorry for this!😔 As for the C Melody saxophone, because the number of saxophone players in Taiwan nowadays has greatly increased, most of them are amateurs. So I think that instruments that do not require transposition may make a comeback. I practiced transposition while playing in church and playing The Real Book with a jazz band, too. After becoming a conductor, this is a must-have skill.😂 Thank you again! I hope my video can make a little contribution to the learning of saxophone!🙂
