Polo G got locked up in jail for close to a year and when he came out he changed his first song after being out was Finer Things which is the first song I listened to him.
There’s so much to know about Polo G. I would recommend watching some videos about his story and what not, he has a good head on his shoulders. Hes spoken about how he’s made the choice not to brandish guns in videos and what not in his videos anymore, he’s pretty much quit drugs, just all in all has made a 180. He’s trying to do things for his city as well. Keep in mind he’s only 21 in present time. He was a little youngin when this song here came out. But the beauty in Polo G’s music even when it was just basic messages comes from his vocabulary, word play, and delivery. You definitely see his growth in his music and it’s elevated him.
Just know every song isn’t intended to have a crazy message, some are meant to just flex and bring that hard gangster stuff. Specifically neva cared was a song by someone else that everyone was doing remixes to and the content was meant to be on some flex your gangster type of stuff. So that’s a little backstory there for you

Gangs take beefs very seriously cause the conflict is generational and all sides have taken many lives of each other. its literally a warzone out there. makes sense why rappers who grow up in this environment rap about the things they rap about

Perhaps more king von reactions? He has so many good songs in his catalogue. “How it go” and “what’s it’s like” are two very well written tracks.
