Hello, on the Asus Vivobook x540ubr there's only one slot? Can't we do dual channel? The ram accepted must have a 2400 mhz only or/and the 3200 mhz? And is there an ssd Nvme port? Thank you for what you do and thank you for your future reply.
X540UBR is an entry level laptop. Therefore it doesn't have any NGFF or NVME slot for M.2 SSD. This motherboard supports upnto 2666 (PC4-21300). Some backward compatible 3200s might work but its not sure. Now Dual Channel memory enhancement isn't much key point when we selecting RAMs. Since the RAM speed and technology developed Dual Channel enhancements become less concern.
@InfinityArcade Re, excuse me one last thing. If I understand correctly I can take a single 32GB RAM with the following two frequencies: either 2400mhz or 2666mhz? or only 2666mhz? I plan to buy this model "Kingston FURY Impact SO-DIMM 32GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL16", is it a good choice for this MOBO "ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. X540UBR 1.0" MOBO? Thanks in advance!
@infinity arcade Thank you for your video, i am searching information for reset bios on my laptop ASUS x540Ba-G0598T with the motherboard x540BP rev 2.0 do you known where is the CMOS battery ? this motherbard is steal by one screw Have you got idea to save my computer ? my electricity was stopped during flashing UEFI :( thanks a lot
If the you coyld enter the ASUS BIOS screen, there's an option to flash BIOS (Ez Flash). If you cannot enter BIOS screen or not showing POST screen, you might need to flash compatible BIOS to internal BIOS IC.

X540 වල හැම ලෙඩේටම මේක හරියන්නේ නෑ. ඉස්සරවෙලම check කරන්න හරියටම ලෙඩේ මොකද්ද කියලා. මම පස්සේ දාපු වීඩියෝ එකක මම කියලා තියෙනවා X540 වල බලන්න ඕන තැන් මොනවද කියලා. BIOS, PGOOD SIGNALS, SIO, INBUILT RAM, BQ24780S මේ හැම එකක්ම හරියටම බලන්න ඕන සහ Schematic එකේ power sequence එකට අදාල revisions ටිකත් බලන්න.

ගොඩක් වෙලාවට මේ models වල BQ24780s එකයි IO එකෙයි communication errors එනවා. ඒක වෙන්න පුළුවන් ඒ දෙකෙම ප්‍රශ්න නිසා. සමහර ඒවගේ CPU එක ප්‍රශ්න නිසා එනවා. එකට නම් එකම විසඳුම reball කරලා බලන එක. ඒ හැර වෙනත් මේක විසඳන්න ක්‍රම තියෙනවා නම් කියන්න. දැනුම බෙදාහදා ගන්න එක හොඳයි නේ.
