Do you play didjeridu? I've been learning didj and jaw harp and all of these things seem to have alot in common.

Usando o jeito mogol em combinaçao com os movimentos da lingua jogada encima da boca e os movimentos dos labios podem fazer-se multiples harmonicos e assim producir musica (1’43’’ ate 2’19’’)

Deep sounds are in the throat not the vocal folds

It just is, the voice is an instrument just like a guitar, or a clarinet, or whatever you want to pick or compare it to. If you started practicing guitar playing tomorrow, you wouldn't become the next Jimi or Stevie Ray Vaughan overnight, or even in multiple years. To truly master something takes a lifetime of dedication.

Is khoomei just a higher version of kargyra? I can't crack it :/

If you can sing khargyraa ,you can sing khoomei.
All you need to do is to sing khargyraa and then just tense your throat until the sub-harmonic goes away.
A good way to practice this is to swich from khargyraa to khoomei and then back to khargyraa.
If you can swich from khoomei to khargyraa effortlessly ,you have a good khoomei voice.
At least that's the way i do it.
      I hope this helps

What do you actually have to do with your throat to be able to produce an overtone? I keep trying, but I'm only producing one note or just pronouncing a loud muffled "L". HELP PLEASE!

Hi, I've been told many diff methods by monks - some of them pretty extreme so I would recommend using my exercises for Kargyraa style from UA-cam or my tuition book & CD from the website. You will need to push through the irritation as you need to learn to trigger vocal chords and then relax to allow the laryngeal folds to take over instead. Regards, J

"this is not music, this is annoying sounds"
This is the root of music, the overtone scale... and it sounds fine to me. If you are too narrow minded to appreciate it, that's your fault.
If you don't enjoy it, fine, but saying it's not music is ridiculous. Who are you to decide that?
Obviously someone with no real appreciation for music, but plenty of ego.

Yeah...I know....I was being sarcastic. And whilst I agree it is the lowest form of wit, it is wit nonetheless! Something we could do with a lot more of on UA-cam!

+midnight_storm_(vǫrðr) It really isn't.. Gutteral growls should come from your diaphragm, if you're using your throat you're bound to ruin your voice in time. Throat singing is maintaining a note with your throat and using the tongue to overtone. Completley different styles I'm afraid
