Compact SUVs are supposed to give you the best compromise of what you expect from a car. They are tall and handsome but cheap enough to fit in your budget, they are SUVs but feel car like to drive and with every passing year customers are also opting for their petrol versions as they are not only more refined but thanks to turbocharging they have become powerful enough to put a smile on your face despite their small capacity. Two such latest entrants in this fiercely fought segment are the Hyundai Venue and the Mahindra XUV300. The 2019 Venue is Hyundai’s first sub-4 metre compact SUV and they have done an impressive job. Be it the exterior, interior or the way it drives the Venue does everything well. The XUV300 on the other hand is one of the most complete products to wear a Mahindra badge. In terms of rear seat comfort, xuv300 is way more spacious.... How come venue gets more point for rear seat comfort.

@@dhruvsharma3873 yes all cars in market provide sufficient space, but if you compare, then xuv300 is way ahead. Infact the rear space of xuv300 is sort of above the segment and the AC is very good, so the lack of rear blower isn't a deal breaker.

Venue drives better than xuv and xuv interior are not that good
I feel that the XUV300's looks will age better than the Venue. On most parameters, the Venue seems to be better than the XUV, and I won't be surprised if it beats the Brezza in sales volume.
Amit Tadvalkar xuv has a ugly rear apart from that it will age better.
Maruti brezza will be no. 1.because of Indian peculiarities.
Brezza is a sales success purely based on M badge. The interior quality of it is pathetic. I feel TUV 300 is the best SUV in the segment. I really wish Mahindra gives it a 4wd to call it a 'Proper SUV' It is really robust with a ladder frame chassis and butch styling at a very reasonable price. Wish they gave it better features in 2019 facelift. Rest of all the competition are merely jacked up hatches on steroids. This is just my opinion and not intended to hurt anyone.
xuv300 is based on another korean car tovoli. Trust me, venue is nothing in front of xuv300. Xuv300 gets features like 4 disc brakes, steering modes, and list is endless. Xuv300 is based on 5 star rated tivoli, while venue is made on joke platform of santro. Steering feedback and high speed stability will be another issue in venue. Talk about diesel variant, xuv300 will put every c suv into shame

That does not mean that they are the best cars. Yes, they are good cars. Similarly Venue also is a good car. but, it is not as good as XUV300. Just drive XUV300 diesel and then comment. Hyundai is known for providing cosmetic features in their cars.

🚫🚫🚫The review is a bit biased. I test drove the diesel top end variants of Nexon, Venue and XUV300, and trust me the XUV300 is better! The engine punch, driveability, suspension, light clutch+steering+shifts etc. make the XUV300 a better package. Venue lacks the turbo punch, the shifts are accurate but a bit hard, also the steering+clutch+shifts felt harder than XUV300's. The steering is kind of small in Venue🙄🙄.
The NVH of XUV300 surprisingly better than Venue even if its a Hyundai. Sadly there are many features missing in the XUV300's recent batches than before like boot lamp, door lamp, knee airbag..etc. The interior is much better than Venue, still the dash buttons are not that user friendly.

I drove both of these vehicles venue isn’t near to xuv300. I don’t know why auto gens are giving preference to venue. It’s very tight on space n doesn’t seem to have good quality interiors. Other hand xuv300 has pleasant interiors , pliant ride n better handling of corners. Mileage of venue is disgusting.

From all the comments so far, I noticed that all Venue supporters are suffering from some kind of inferiority complex. They are aware that Venue can not even come closer to XUV300 except for price, boot space and some useless cosmetic features. So they somehow want to justify that Venue is superior to XUV300.
They quote about the sales volume to justify it. Sales volume does not indicate the superiority of
a vehicle. Even Maruti cars are highest selling cars. But, that does not mean that they are best cars.
Venue is nothing but modified version of i20. Hyundai is marketing it as world class(?) SUV by adding some features and selling it at higher price just to satisfy the ego of Hyundai lovers.
If XUV300 can be compared with any Hyundai vehicle, then it is Creta. Even diesel version of XUV300 performs better than Creta.
SUVs are meant for adventurous driving in terms of power and torque. If value for money, comfort are the only factors, one can easily get it from i20. Why should anyone pay extra for it?

The hype for the newly launched Hyundai Venue was too high when the vehicle impressed the country with its looks and specs .Many many dealers tried to make maximum benefit out of it . Popular Hyundai Kerala was one among them who tried to cash this opportunity , they demanded full payment of the vehicles price for booking the vehicles .They also misinformed the customers guaranteeing a wait time less than a month . Popular Hyundai alone getting around 150-200 bookings which amounted to 16-20 crores of customers money which alone could fetch them an intrest amount of 1crore or more in a months span . Many customers had arranged this money by loaning from banks or private financers hence paying regular emi and intrest even without receiving their vehicle.And now comes the funny part, the average wait time for a Venue S 1.2L is 3 months, which is not informed to the customer and he has to keep paying to banks while still waiting for his vehicle while scammers like Popular Hyundai reap huge benefits from this.

Man i have read ur diesel compact suv between Ecosport Venue and Xuv 300. Its said Ecosport cabin is very noisy which is a wrong statement. It is the best cabin which feels like petrol engine. Its the best driving, handling n smoothest SUV with highest water wading capacity(550mm which is higher than jeep compass) under 15-20lakhs.
