Gosh there were so many different details involved we had to use so many spreadsheets to try and keep our thoughts and decisions organized!

Which builder design center is this?
Were those kitchen cabinets included or an upgrade?
They were an upgrade, but only 1 level up
We didn’t upgrade anything. Everything is too expensive.
It can be expensive! we factored the upgrades into the price of the house before we purchased so it wasn’t a shock for us
@@ShawnaLorenzen Are the upgrades included in your mortgage or do you have to pay upfront?
@@nicolet.rainer1605 we had to pay 35% of the upgrades upfront at the design appointment and the rest was bundled into our mortgage
Just keep in mind you pay interest on anything done with the builder unless you are paying cash for the the entire thing.
Correct! We paid a deposit on our finish selection, 30% or so and then the rest is rolled into the mortgage. Thankfully mortgage rates are really favourable right now (1%-2%)!
