It's time to let the little girls out to learn how to free range. Here is our solution so our "Littles" can get outside but not directly mix with the "Bigs."
They love the plywood. I need to build a formal structure for them to hang out under. They are now running in and out all the time. They go out as a group and run in as a group. 20 hens going in & out is fun to watch! Cheers Annette!
Thats really sweet to watch. You put a lot of consideration into making their life enjoyable. I think the world would be a better place if more people would be like you
It was an interesting day for them. They were so timid and apprehensive to be outside. Now that it's been a week, they run outside when the door opens. It's funny how they adapt so quick after a week. Thanks for stopping by to watch!
How did the chickens react to their new outdoor environment, and what steps did you take to ensure they were comfortable and safe during the transition? Are you on Facebook or instagram ? I'd love to connect and hear more about your experiences with raising chickens! Let's keep in touch!
They are loving being outside and go in & out the door all day. We are on Facebook and Instagram, but we primarily use UA-cam as our social media platform. Thanks for watching!

Very happy girls! They love exploring!
It’s so funny watching them go outside for the first time. The plywood is a good idea.
Take care.

Howdy! Looks like a good size space for them! Ours are loving the outdoor space, too. Enjoy the new job!
I think all chickens love being outside free ranging. Our hens sure are happy now. Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful, we just let our 6 week old chickens out of the coop today to their new chicken run!
Isn't it fun to watch them explore outside! They were apprehensive and now are really happy running in & out. Cheers Shannon!
Cute! Ours were a little timid too at first.
Ours were really timid for a couple days. Now it's a huge rush to get outside when the door opens in the morning! Cheers Lisa!

Seems like you're over your homesteading "burnout" 🎉 G'day from Oz.
We've downsized many things and worked on focusing on what we really need long term. Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!! Cheers!
Yay chickens.

Morning Rich. Moving Day for your girls. Good idea.
The Littles are outside and enjoying life outside the barn! Cheers Garry!
That second one was so perplexed looking around off that platform 😅 so cute!
They were so scared at first. They didn't know what to do at first. Now they run all over and are in & out! Have a great weekend Sarah!
