Hammond organs use tone wheels to generate sine waves, which then the drawbars add harmonics. You could say they were early electro-mechanical synthesizers
i love analogue synths that use stuff like this: i remember learning about the creation of very first synths in University and it was fascinating (although i don’t remember any specifics nowadays) Your content always kicks the creative part of my brain into gear - thank you!!
That synth is a beast, I absolutely love it, cost me a relationship buying it because that was the tipping point for my ex and my gear habit but I don't miss her because that thing God damn rules
I swear it’s like instrument makers are the only ones still making tech that looks cool and VST makers are the only ones still making software that looks cool.
As a guitarist, your pedal collection costs more than my house. Ffs a decent pedal for even simple distortion will run you 100-400 depending on what sticker is on the pedal
I don't know I think if you collaborated with JHS pedals you can come up with a design of a pedal of your own with your own name on it that he would design. And you should do a collab UA-cam channel with him I think maybe perhaps. At least visit each other's channels. JHS pedals. He has over 5000 pedals.
Love the concept, not too fond of its sound however. Of what I’ve heard in videos it sounds a little harsh, like it’s primary use case is horror movies
Sounds like a boss fight in a cave
I feel like this belongs in a futuristic Chinese diner
Bread Runner

This is the first I've heard of a motor synth. Up until this video, I thought all synths were electronic. Thanks for sharing.

Gives me Hyper Light Drifter vibes
I like how you say fuzz
Sounds like a cool game level to me.
Can you make Goron-mountain inspired music with that synth?
