Started working in a cardiology office as a new NP 2 weeks ago.....and, I'm doing my best to learn what I need to know in order to do my job well. You made Axis deviation so easy to understand!!! YOU ARE A STAR!!!!
Nothing in the world like a gifted teacher. I am so grateful for your clear and thorough explanation of a topic I never thought I could possibly understand. Thank you.
I wanted to double check that the recorded numbers given by the ECG was giving the correct axis degree number. Thank you for being the only video I found that explicity mentioned that.
For quick reference of RAD and LAD remember Right together and Left apart - i.e. if the tip of the QRS pointed together = RAD tip of the QRS apart = LAD. AND both negative = extreme
Dear Suha: This method allows you to "get close" to the actual number. There are methods that can further narrow down the axis (through the use of additional leads), but still only within a range of 30 degrees.
You've got no idea how much easier you've made my practice. God bless you
omg! i have looked at over 20 videos and this is really a life saver--- tears of joy. ty sir!
Have u graduated ?

Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words. The software's ability to measure electrical axis is actually quite reliable.
@@christouzeau8124 You're welcome. Also is R axis just the shorthand for QRS. I see some ecgs print P-R-T axis.
@@SupermarketSweep777 Yes, that's right - R = QRS.
fantastic video
Good explanation.... Thank you
My God... Thank you youtube algorithm Gods!!!!!!

Can we obtain the exact value of deviation ?
Dear Suha:

Thank you, can you please tell me the case in the ecg at 13:40
Whats wrong with the ecg
thanks a lot..hope I can reproduction this in my medicine exam.
Why is avr drawn after l ?
wooow thank you very much
So you are saying that lead I is negative and avf is positive. There might be dead tissue
Thanks for watching. Right axis deviation has many causes, one of which is lateral myocardial infarction. Nice work!
great video, thank you!!
