nice review man. I own the J1 version of this and had mine for about 3+ years now. been through thick and thin and has been very reliable time piece. due to it's bigger size(for a general field watch) and due to it's unique raised inner bezel/chapter ring, one of the most legible time pieces I own. so well thought out and executed, as you already know. I've gone to the shooting range bunch of times with it on and had no problems. shock protection works well. solid watch, one of the best bang for buck general field watch around... and one of the most unique in a lot of ways. enjoy your time piece. wear it in good health.
Hardlex is in fact more durable than Sapphire. The term you are looking for is more scratch resistant. Scratch resistant and durability of the glass is not the same. Hardless is softer than Sapphire, hence less scratch resistant but more durable. It is more impact resistant than sapphire.
Fair point. Some people prefer to have the watch assembled in Japan because of that Country's history of being reliant and diligent manufacturers --- the Japanese are very well known for their quality and reliability.
Nice review, I really enjoyed it. I am looking at adding this to my (small) collection and love the military field watch style. Just one thing, that jewel is sitting above the balance wheel not the mainspring. I wonder if you are still enjoying it or if you have flipped it.
+Gumru Sardarova I have pretty small wrists. I think you will be fine with this watch. You can also easily adjust the size of the band, and the 42mm case is not overly big.

just bought it .. nice watch
great review, keep up the good work :-)
I like this k version better than the j version since it's the same watch but cheaper; why pay more than required?

After hearing the way you said seiko I do not trust your judgment in watches
A watch enthusiast who can't pronounce Seiko?
You obviously don't know much about watches....
