Please do more of these. The brain is a muscle too so we gotta Buff it up with knowledge. Yeah! 💪
@@mirusooriyakumaran2268 Yeah I was gonna say, I get the metaphor but your brain obviously is literally not a muscle.
The Viking at Stamford Bridge. Certified Badass buffdude!
The Norwegian viking warrior who served the badass norwegian king Harald Hardraade (Hardråde=hard ruler) the last viking to attempt to invade England in 1066. Yeah cant remember his name bit as the viking army had to retreat due to scattered forces, a small wooden bridge was all that stood between them and the anglo-saxons. So yes, this great warrior single handedly defenden the bridge to save his country men long enough to retreat. Legend says that after a long time trying to defeat him and cross the bridge a anglo-saxon (english) had to take a spear, climb under the bridge and kill him from underneath.
Totally badass and brave. Yeah he was according to the story a very strong man.
To find the story and maybe the name, try search for Snorre Sturrlasson. An icelandic saga writer who wrote about the kings of Norway (because Iceland and Norway share same ancestry and used to be one country)
Theodore Roosevelt was pretty buff. Guy boxed and did Jujitsu while serving time in office.
The snake at the end though! 🤣🤣
Eugen Sandow (1867-1925). He is the inventor of professional body building
@@tomg5405 I recommend David L. Chapman's book "Sandow the Magnificent. Eugen Sandow and the Beginnings of Bodybuilding" (1994).
@@zumh01 just check the teacher of him and the teacher of his teacher and you will see it's wrong and in other countries same times have already bodybuilder too. In France it was call gymnastique des organes and Edmond Desbonnet teach many people about dumbells..
The Greeks doing everything nude gives a new meaning to "buff" dude. ;)
The olympics were always played in the nude by the greeks to show off the physique of the atheletes
@@bowow0807 and because Athenians were famous for their sexual preferences
Gym or gymnasium is actually derived from the Greek word γυμνάσιο ( yi-mna-si-o ) and this word comes from the word the verb γυμνάζομαι ( yi-mna-zo-mai ) and this is derived from the phrase ασκούμαι γυμνός ( a-skou-me yi-mnos ) which translates literally to : to exercise naked . Makes total sense actually . Just take a look at the clothes at that age . Can't imagine them being practical while running , jumping , wrestling etc . So , no it was not a body positivity thing . Just practicality in sports and the fashion sense of the times .
Also , about the sex part , at least Greeks were open about it ( unlike most other civilizations ). And actually most who engaged in same sex activities were bi . In other words , just like the modern day , we like to fuck a lot and really well . Just ask people who were single ( or not ) tourists in the Greek isles . Due to Christian customs though most of us are straight nowadays.
And , about the Athenian part .... Your beloved Spartans did it way more . And actually , Spartans famously did it in a master at arms/combat teacher to pupil fashion . Guess how old was the pupil ... ( I'll give you a hint , you are celebrating pedos ) . At least atheneans were adults ( for the most part at least . There was something more attractive to be seen in a more developed body and mind of an adult ) .
You forgot the biggest man of all time.
The legendary brofessor himself, blessed be his name, knees weak, arms lift heavy: Dom Mazzetti.
This episode consisted of only the buffest of us mortal men. Lord Mazzetti is immortal
You forgot one of the Buffest of them a, Theagenes of Thasos!
He was an ancient greek boxer who remained undefeated for over 20 years with an estimated match count of 1200 to 1400
He was so strong that everyone believed he was Hercules's son
Next you guys should do the most badass buff dudes from myths and legends! (ie. Hercules, Samson, Beowulf, etc...)
Love it, more buff history please!
Definitely do some more! This was super interesting and entertaining to watch!!
Loving your vids buff dudes. Just found your channel, can't stop watching lol
Great stuff, would love more of this style in the future. Stay Buff!
Definitely looking forward to more of these videos great content as always! STAY BUFF!!!
Thanks for even mentioning John Henry. That was awesome!!!
So glad you mentioned John Henry , a true Buff Dude! I am a WV native and have visited the site of John Henry's epic contest in Talcott, WV
Loved it! I learned about him in school not sure if they teach that anymore
Dude, this was a total trip, I don't mind low budget, the delivery was impeccable 10/10, entertaining as f**k.
Just got my hoodie from your website, and used it for a killer chest and tris workout 💪🏻 Great quality, breathable, and durable. Thanks dudes
Awesome work guys, would love to see a series about how weight training began and came to be what it is today.
Awesome video guys please make this a regular series
Loved the video! I hope to see more of the series. You could talk about Alexander Karelin, Pyrros Dimas and many more!
I like this kind of Videos. Keep them coming. I am waiting.
Sandow, Hackenschmidt, Maxick, Treloar, Saxon, Gama...the list goes on. This was a big part of my dissertation and if you guys need scans of their work, odds are I can help out.
this was cool a nice switch up, good stuff boyz
Looking forward to more of this content .another plan well executed by the buffdudes 💪🏽(single bicep solute !)
Really enjoyed the historical buff dude episode. Keep them coming
Remember everyone: yats ffub
HAHA! Best outro ever!
Yah make this a new series like 'Buff History'. . this just scratched the surface. . WAY too many legendary buff dudes of the past to cover in one vid.
Good test run. Has potential and interest from many.
Keep em coming!
Hail & Kill!
(anyone who worships Game Changers offended yet by Milo Croton and his diet? ;) lol )
He might not have the level of credentials for this list, but Plato was definitely a Buff Dude, being a wrestler and philosopher and founding the Academy, which was the first institution of higher learning in the western world.
Just received your 12 week program. Cant't wait to start it tomorrow! Thanks for all your videos! Also the turkey meatloaf recipe is a direct work of art from God himself. Can't stop watching your videos haha they're motivating!
I like this concept for this vid. Great work!
Buff History is fascinating. There are some many noteworthy characters of old; yes legends and facts often get blurred, but that only makes it more fun! Keep it up guys!
Physical fitness and military training are pretty interesting: I can think of the Spartans, medieval knights, gladiators, legionaries, vikings, greeks.
Love it and would love to see more
Ending was fantastic!! 😂
You can add Aleksandr Karelin aka "The Experiment" aka "The Russian Bear". He had an all time record of 887-2. He was undefeated for 13 years and was built like a machine.
Would love to see more videos like this, especially how food evolved to where it is today
This was awesome. I would like to do more Buff Dudes of History. Maybe do someone more modern like Bo Jackson.
You guys should talk about more wrestlers like Dan Gable and J. Robinson cuz they are intense and the literal definition of manliness!
I wasn’t expecting the snake swing. OMG! Too funny!!! 😂😂😂👍🏻
The last shot of the older brother staring at the younger brother regarding the snake… So that’s like priceless
Awesome! More history lessons please.
The Buff Dudes are finally History Buffs! As fan and a history major I love this!
Loved the episode keep it up 💪🏻
This is cool, I'd like to see more lore and facts-Buff Dudes of the past, type videos for sure
Love this type of videos! make more
I can across this channel like 3 days ago and from the very beginning I made the assumption of y’all just being gym rat gym bros, but you guys actually KNOW what you’re talking about and from this specific channel I’ve been able to buff my mind and my muscles more. The Buff Chads do not get enough recognition (personally)
Very interesting video! You should include King Leonidas and Spartacus on a future one! :D
This was a great video idea!
buff history is something i'd love to see constantly on this channel
awesome video! i liked learning with youre style of teaching history. would love to see more of it!
but somehow at the end of this video i wondered, how would it look like if you and buff brother switched hair styles.
now im reeeaally curious!
This video was great!
Do more of these, buff history lessons are awesome
Love this idea for a video series! Next time cover Desmond Doss from the movie Hacksaw ridge (which was based on him) he is a true buff dude!!!!
Would love some more videos like this i love buff history
Love it when people can bring historical characters alive. Like _Drunk History_, only they're drunk and usually buff-lacking.
Oh hell yeah!! Get this going dudes, i see a potentially very good content coming out of these series!!!
Filippide, I know it may be obvious, but He's the buff hero of those who never skip leg day. That guy fought in the final great battle against the persian army, than ran all the way from Maratona to Atene in full armor, said "We won" and then die of battlefield wound... HELL YEAH!
You guys are officially my favorite UA-camrs
I want more of these!!
It would be awesome to see Buff Dudes take on history of fitness.
you can start a playlist tittle something along the line: Buff History
Wow, I didn't know you were such History BUFFS!
There needs to be more of these!
This should definitely become a series. You should also try to recreate the way they got famous. For example John Henry, I would love to see you guys try to do what he did (not racing against a machine) and see how hard/exhausting it was.
Last scene's hilarious!
As long as you keep wearing fur & togas, i'm okay with everything XD
No seriously, Buff History's great ! Keep doing that, please :) And if you can introduce some historical buff ladies in the mix, all the better.
Happy new year, and buff on to buffinity & beyond
Bruce Randall... a true legend
Great idea for a video!
The Ending was Epic!
🤣
More of this please!
Damn man, you’re looking BIG again
Love it do more of these
Bill kazmier. Worlds strongest man stopped inviting him when he was in his prime. Or cant forget John Anderson.
This channel is getting more and more buff.
the great Gama, Ivan Poddubny and Alexander Karelin definetely deserve attention
great content man stay dude
I actually really like this video and wish it was longer
More of this please.
Thank you for the video, I enjoyed it.
Will you guys discuss bronze era body builders like Eugene Sandow and Bobby Pandour in the future?
loved it! low budget or not!
I liked this, it would be fun to see one on Plato?
I drink Milo everyday and I am sure I am getting Milo's physique.
You should absolutely do a series on historical BUFF dudes and ladies.
Wow, this video was VERY entertaining. xD
I really liked this.
I loved this.
Broooo John Henry’s story is exactly like that one episode of spongebob!
Flamma ( the flame) , the only gladiator with a tombstone, fought in 34 matches, won 21 of those, and had 9 draws. Truly a buff dude
I loved this
Love this Buff Dudes bottle episode
Hey buff dudes I know this isn’t the right video to comment this on, but could you possibly consider making a detailed video about calculating macros for both weight loss and muscle gain. Thanks dudes and as always stay buff !💪🏻
Milo of Croton’s macros seem pretty light on fat, clearly on a slow cut. Least we can be sure he was natty!
Yeah those numbers arent correct. The guy ate a cow every day by himself. They sustained a herd just for him
Dude more history !!!!
I worked as a track man hitting spikes while playing a full season of semipro football O-lineman for 7 yrs still in railroad now as a mech hats off to John henry railroad work takes a toll on you
Looking good Hudson 👍👍
I've always loved the story of John Henry
I absolutely love the idea! Fucking brilliant!
I like this a lot.
Hey dudes! Hope you enjoy "Buff History" as we've been wanting to do this one for a long time. As this is kind of a trial run it doesn't have as many skits and enactments like we'd wish (we imagine it similar to our older series "Anatomy of a Buff Dude") but if you like the episode let us know as we'd love to do some more. Also, we're wrapping up our SUPERHERO PLAN with the goal of getting it out late November. Look for it then. STAY BUFF!! -Hudson & Brandon
Hey guys
Pls respond
I’m 13 yr old trying to get buff like you guys
King Leonidas
You guys missed Samson, the PINNACLE of Buff Dudes. You need to include him in a part two.
