Althoug beautifully articulated, the touch aspiring to a non-legato gets too staccato and takes away much subtlety that Sokolov is aiming for. Plus the tempo is a bit too fast and at times metronomic. This is still a very good rendition but I think overinfluenced by the performance practice craze of the late 1990s that arose itself from trying to rectify the overly legato and romantic tendering of Bach's works in the late 19th eand early to mid 20th centuries.
