  • There is truly something special about catching a musky on the Chippewa Flowage. Its a challenging body of water which tends to make the reward that much sweeter.
    Its late August, water temperatures are cooling and fish are moving into shallow water. This is one of the most productive shallow water bites of the season.
    Join Tom and Mike as they jump in the boat for an impromptu musky weekend on the Chippewa Flowage. Long hours, truck naps and endless casting can be what it takes to put some nice fish in the boat. But I would be lying if we thought it wasn't worth it!

    Awesome fish! I'd take a tiger over a "pure bred" any day. Big tigers(especially naturally occurring ones) are like catching a unicorn!

      They are awesome to see. Especially that size. The Chippewa Flowage has a decent never of them too! Thanks for watching!

    Like the videos. My father and I go up to Hayward once a year to catch musky's. Live is Missouri so it's about a 10 hr drive but well worth it. We fish day lake a lot. Wondering if you ever fished it.

    Why was it ''once'' a famed fishing hot spot?
    Why isn't it any longer?

    Hey... I live there. I've never been to the Chippewa flowage though I usually fish small lakes like Callahan and rivers like Chief river for muskies.
    Edit: I am related to the owners of Treelands.

    Great video of your weekend muskie fishing trip. Shows typical muskie fishing with no show on the first day after a whole day of casting heavy muskie baits. That is muskie fishing, they don't come easily!! Love the drone shots. Who is operating the drone?

    • @TomBoley
      @TomBoley  7 років тому

    Which lakes in the area would be fishable in my 16 foot boat with a 60 inch beam. is the flowage and round lake a possibility with a boat like mine?

    Imho the chipp is the most overrated fishery in the hayward area yes it produces some brutes but there is so much water and structure its almost impossible to pattern i have spent many weeks attempting to catch a ski there without success while i have had success on other bodies of water in the area tigercat flowage and mose lake esp
