Thank you for this teaching! It is so sad that Satan has deceived so many Christians into thinking that sharing the gospel in church and giving people a chance to call on Jesus and be saved and talk with a mature Christian about it could be a "bad" thing! Satan does not want people to come to Jesus and he doesn't mind twisting Scripture or using pious language or deceptive philosophy to trick Christians into advocating for his side. God bless you.

An Alter Call could be trying to force people through the wardrobe when it is only a wardrobe. (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).

I love this vid, because it exposes the purposeful blatant manipulation that goes on in churches.
Why has the church made it so that people accept Jesus because of fear and guilt instead of the beauty of who He is? Christianity would collapse without these two things used to indoctrinate the sheep.
Paul said,"we have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling ". An Individual decision is called to be made. Deathbed decisions are great but to bring glory to God with a life well lived is to praised.
Because Hell is real. The prospect of smattering in Hell doesn't seem like a good way forward. If The Holy Spirit is dealing with your heart and convicting you of sin, then an altar call is a lifeboat. Jesus is beautiful, but your sin isn't. The message must have balance.
I’ve read the Bible so many times. Studied for years and years. I still haven’t found an alter call or prayer for salvation in the word of God. Manipulation to encourage an emotional response to make a decision to follow Christ seems like a sure fire path to a false profession of faith. Why is the piano being played during an alter call? Why does everyone have their head bowed and eyes closed during an alter call? Why is pastor pleading with the people to make a decision? Did Jesus do all of these shenanigans? NO
He told us what we must do to be saved and he didn’t twist our arm or play emotional music or ask everyone to close their eyes so nobody could see the folks that wanted to follow Christ and believe. Did Jesus tell us to say a salvation prayer? NOPE.
How about asking everyone to raise their hand if they want to be saved? Or raise their hand if they’re saved? Jesus didn’t do that either. I remember the day when walked down the alter and said the magical salvation prayer. Then I spent the next 25 years of my life living life with the believe I was saved. In reality I was on the wide path that leads to destruction. I realized I made an emotional decision not understanding the first thing of what it is to be born again and be a follower of Jesus. God will lead us to him when he knows we’re ready to carry our cross and live for him. It’s a change of heart and literally like being born again. Teach, preach and pray but please stop with these unbiblical alter calls that were made by man and not by God.
Thank you for your comment. I cover a lot of your objections in my book on "How to Preach the Gospel." An altar call is not about saying a magic prayer, it is about putting one's faith in Christ. In some ways it is like the sacrament of marriage. Are the words "I do" magic? No, but the moment a man and woman say "I Do" in a marriage ceremony they are married in the eyes of God. In the same way, when people pray for salvation, God does a miracle in their lives.

What’s an alter call? Where is it found in scripture?
This is man made … soft music , lighting, no one looking around, etc. All man made.
Resulting in a high fall away rate. False converts.
Never trust in a decision. Don't be manipulated by bad unbiblical evangelism.

Altar calls are evil
Why? A strong Biblical case can be made for the validity of giving altar calls.
@@EvangelistDanielKing Then the Bible itself is evil. You can't rely on logic or reason. You have to tug on people's emotions in a peer pressure situation and to do that with kids around is abusive and should be illegal.
@@gunnisonschannel9855 The same God who created logic also created emotion. Both emotion and reason are part of deciding to follow Christ. An altar call is simply a time for a person to make a decision to trust God for salvation.
Alter calls was unheard of until Charges Finney started it in the 19 century. Where he started revivals where thousands of people made a decision, and trusted in a prayer that was repeated. Billy Graham said before he died, that he would be happy if only 5% of the hundreds of thousands of people that came forward, to repeat a prayer after many years of crusades were truly born again. Salvation is a work of God. It can not be manipulated. Through the work of the Holy Spirit drawing man to Christ is the only way to become born again.
