    Good evening miss Alex, please could you drop more rules on stress and do you have any advice to give concerning oral English..ur prompt response will be really appreciated

      1. words ending in -ion have the primary stress on the last syllable but one. e.g. qualification, culti'vation, imagination, examination
      2. Words ending in -ic, -ical, -ically have the primary stress on the syllable preceding the suffix, e.g., apolo'getic, electrical, patriotic, sympa'thetically.
      3. Words ending in -ity, are stressed on the syllable preceding the suffix,
      e.g., e’quality, possi’bility, mo'rality, originality
      4. Words ending in -ial, -ally have the primary stress on the syllable preceding the suffix, e.g., cere'monial, es'sential, confidentially,
      5. In words of more than two syllables ending in -ate, the primary stress is placed two syllables before the suffix, that is, on the third syllable from the end, e.g.,' fortunate, 'separate, 'educate
      6. Words ending in-ian are stressed on the syllable preceding the suffix,
      e.g., li’brarian, mu'sician, politician
      4. Words ending in-ious are accented on the syllable preceding the suffix.
      e.g., in'dustrious, lu’xurious, vic'torious
