In today's video I give my introduction to Kuala Lumpur, a city I have now been to 17 times. This time we are there for 5 weeks and I have around 30 video's on KL so stay tuned for more!
There will also be video's on Langkawi Island and Malaysian Borneo.

Hi, I'm from Europe🇬🇧.. I lived in Malaysia for almost four years. I think Malaysia is a very luxurious country.. my honest opinion.. the people there are very kind and like to smile. the food is very good and there are many tall buildings.. I think now Malaysia has the number 2 tallest building in the world (MERDEKA 118 floors) that really amazes me.. I have traveled a lot in Asian countries but Malaysia is my choice to live here..✌️🇲🇾

Pls keep our country underrated. We do not need many foreigners to come here and buy the properties, and at the end cause a surge of the properties price. We prefer to keep our beach clean and less busy, we don't want our beach to turn into another Boracay.
We are fine with KL being regarded as an underrated city. We'd like to keep it that way. We surely do not need KL to be over-hyped or overly-rated.

I am fully amazed how clean and well developed city. I just can’t believe how much people Not know about this amazing city. People are so friendly and lots of diversity. Its so cheap i mean so cheap to live happily with little income. Not going back to the US.

Whether under-rated or not Malaysian people are always genuine and super friendly.. they're not sugar coated with fake smiles or to scam you by "worshipping" you like god; and then "skinning" you like a goat like some others in their countries..😅
We love our under-rated, unpolluted pristine white sandy beaches and islands to be privacy, not too crowded. We love our greens, flora and fauna, wildlife animals conservations and the amazing of the oldest tropical rainforest in the world.. We're in the centre of the SEA. and it's convenient to go to any part of the world particularly in this region.. well those are some hidden gems and blessings for our great and humble country Malaysia, Malaysia is truly Asia and to know Malaysia is to love Malaysia 🇲🇾❤️✌️😊

Kuala Lumpur is not underrated. So many tourists in KL. KL has its own standard, we like to keep it that way.
Tourists bring money...thats the point of upgrading the city...to get as many tourists as possible...dont be snobbish...

idk why people still think KL is underrated. Malaysia literally surpassed thailand in tourist arrival last year and majority of them visited KL. Maybe underrated among western countries is more accurate.

Underrated? Kuala Lumpur is LITERALLY the 6th the Most Visited Cities in the World which welcomed 13.79 million visitors worldwide last year alone, surpassing other popular cities like New York, Seoul, and Tokyo. You can LITERALLY see tourists everywhere you go from Petronas Twin Towers to Petaling Street Chinatown, so anyone who thinks the city underrated is either blind or not that bright to begin with.
Be aware that the vast majority of those visiting KL are either domestic tourists or Singaporeans. Bangkok, Singapore and Tokyo welcome far larger numbers of international visitors in comparison.

We (Malaysian) will keep our beloved country of Malaysia , from State or Perlis to State of Sabab, as underrated and unknown to many because we want to keep this country as a Secret Shangri la and Secret Garden of Eden. We no longer want too much promotions on tourism for Malaysia because we only want good and quality foreigners/tourists with high mentality and well behave to come to Malaysia because currently we are having problem with rouge and rude foreigners who came to Malaysia and they think they can do whatever they want. If you have good qualities (high mentality and well behave and professionals) you are welcome to stay longer or even start your own business (High value business) buy an apartment and start your family here.

Basically most of our Malaysian sick n tired of hearing foreigners keep telling us our country is underrated. So what is the problem being underrated? We are happy with our living in own home country. And we don't need overrated as well.
Totally agree, our country not suitable for western people so we not surprise. Less people and less criminals happen too. I like Japanese visitor they are very good manners.

It's not underated anymore when everyone says it's underated
You don't mention the terrible air pollution. I can't see how you can claim it's underrated or that it's full of green space. Take for example your claim of all the green your see when you drive in from KLIA. It's all oil palm that has devastated the natural environment. You're so wrong on so many apsects.
Remember do not wear the swatch pride watch in Malaysia.. it is a 3 year jail sentence!!

Actually not really under rated. Malaysia received 26m visitors in 2023
Unfortunately as mentioned, most just using as a stop over on the way to somewhere else and only staying in KL. They mostly never get to see what the rest of the country has to offer. I've been to South East Asia over 30 times and I almost never hear travellers rave about Malaysia the way they do about say, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines or Singapore. Just spent 8 nights in beautiful Langkawi and there are not many tourists. Local Grab driver told me that most locals head over to Thailand. Compare that to Bali, Phuket, Pattaya, Hoi An etc all of which are outside of the Capital Cities and are packed with International tourists.
@BrianSomewhere we received more tourists from Asia compared to westerners which is fine. Places are not so crowded eg beaches, towns, cities.
The economy does not depend on tourism to survive. Unlike some countries around us.

In fact blonde hair blue eyes green eyes tourists are more stingy than arabic and Asian tourists. Also you should know the highest tourists arrival in Thailand are Malaysians not blonde hair blue eyes green eyes tourists. Because they just have to cross the border!! And Thailand still count those 5 million Malaysians shoppers and food hunters as TOURISTS!!! Like Malaysian counted 5 million Singaporeans tourists arrivals each year.
