Some barbers pretend to listen to your request, then proceed to do whatever they think looks best. Hell nah!!! But good advice, it's best to work thru the regrowing process then starting over.

I had to do that 2 years ago because I wanted to let the sides on the top catch up to the rest of the beard. Word to the wise, leave the barbers alone or tell him don't touch the beard. Invest in your own trimmers and cut your own to desired length or style! Leave them hard lines alone for awhile and let that new growth come in as you told him!

everyone has their own method, when i go to the barber shop he is not allowed to touch my beard. i maintain that at home with my clippers and straight razor. barbers have too much clientele and unfortunately cannot cater to all the nuances of finely maintained beard.

Man, I went up for this job in the oilfield, you have to be clean shaven for the job, well it took me a month to give these people an answer to whether I was taking the job. After a 3 year beard growth I shaved and took the job, I regret this decision so much, one because I shaved my beard off, and two because I only worked for them for 2 weeks before I knew it wasn’t for me. So, here I am now in regrowing stage just past the hell fire itching stage, so many ups and downs in life but I have no choice but to keep pushing.

My barber recently messed up my hair under my chin and made it too skinny and pushed my jaw too far up. I’m so pissed! I just started seeing some real length and now I pretty much have to grow it back out again. This video kept me from cutting it off and restarting

Same thing happened to me with the top of my beard I was so self conscious about it I was thinking of shave it all off and start over (which I didn’t wanna do) so it can all grow together evenly. But now that I watched your video I’m just finna let it grow in like u said. Thanks bro.
