I had the same happen. I scuffed both top and bottom of the mating area. Then used strips of credit card and glued them like a splint and across the top and bottom. Then wrapped it tightly in felt bandaids. That was a year ago. I needed somthing to hold the two pieces together as just butt gluing them won’t really work. So that’s why I used the credit card pieces to act as holds and stabilizers .. the scuffing was so the glue would stick. An idea :)
I love these headphones. I use them because they sound great at a reasonable cost.Yes you have to replace the ear cushion after a few years for 10 bucks and yes the head band will eventually snap after 3-5 years of normal use. These are fantastic headphones and if someone has a better suggestion for a similar price that are noticeably better then please let me know the brand and model.
I agree but after loosing 3 pairs like this i discovered the older pairs are stronger, whatever they changed in the last 18 months was a bad decision in fabrication. Price went up - quality came down....way of the world aye...
It ought to work. Peel back the inner cushion, glue some springy metal into place (will have to find right size) and then glue the cushion back. Not hard, just finding the right springy curved metal bits
Repairable... your reinforcing procedure is sound (pun intended) for the repair. then just apply the "super glue and soda plastic weld" magic compound or, plastic weld the crack after. The metal brace reinforcement will take the beating and the weld will hold depending... how it's done. I love my QC35, hat them for years. Yours seem more flimsy but the earpieces look better suited for human ears than the QC35 (just a tad too small) :D
I bought these as they were billed as " Beats Killers" and O lived them until the headband cracked in the middle, exactly like your unit did. Was there a manufacturer's resolution. Please advise.
Never been this early before. Nice information. Ive had headsets that lasted 4 years with similar issues. One that it's ear cups rotated 90° to the side and offered great comfort. But overtime they began to wear out until one snapped off. Everything else still worked great so I used some imagination and duck tape and was able to get another year or so out of it before the other ear cup did the same. Eventually, it became unrepairable but i got way more from it than any other headset at the time.
i have it for more than 6 years just break this year light extremely comfortable for wearing it long time battery life is excellent the only disadvantage is that it is awful sound tight almost like speakers everybody will hear you around you
I've bought and used over a dozen of these over 6-8+ years. These issues are common in all of my headphones but never prevented my use. When the break happened I used paperclips and electrical tape to hold it together. Not perfect (still semi loose) but they remain good for basic use. AUGUST
Had mine for about four and a half years and have only just snapped. I really miss them. They are a great product. Maybe it’s only a feature with the white ones as mine were white too. I’m currently looking at the next model up, the EP750. Hope they work as well as the Ep650 😊
@@avramovixc I didn’t get them in the end. There were too many reviews reporting that the volume was quite low. Decided to go for the EKSA S5. I would recommend them.
Hello Nooblets, Please let me start by apologising that this accrued with your pair of headphones. Although the headphones are already stress-tested to our satisfaction, in this case, it would appear the headphones should have lasted much longer than stated in the video. I have passed your video onto our engineers to look into future improvements. Regards, August International.
.Amazing August. You answer the question, this denotes that you are a really great company. I will buy this headphones, and what about the ep750, when comes another batch to sale?
@@GonzaloOviedoLambert Hello Genzala, unfortunately, the EP750 is being phased out of production. For Noise Cancelling headphones we would recommend looking at our EP735 or EP765 models.
Nooblets Tech Tips
A stripe of spring metal and four screws should do the trick. Probably less than ten pounds and they'll last for years

You could put a metal strap in it and fix it with tape and I should work fine, but I dunno

2 n a half years out of the headset is pretty good. The cushioning is still intact and stuff
On my 3rd pair and the same problem again. Left ear sound gone...so disappointed
Thank you for the information

I just brought a different brand mate
Had 3 pairs fail exactly the same way - only difference was it was at the side just above metal banding

If they still work i'd attempt self repair before buying new ones, just incase you resolve it and would save money

Are they still good? Hows the sound quality and is there a lot of sound leak? What color do u have?

I've had this happen to 3 separate pairs of these headphones...and they were well taken care of. The headband is a poor design.
ive had them for 4 years and still good. guess you got unlucky?
