Great presentation!! Just what I was looking for. I have one question. Why do you remove the ISO at 9:00? I always leave it there when I am using ISO but maybe I should be removing it?
Sir, I am very new on linux system, for learning i want to install proxmox onvirtual box and then want to install container lxc but facing some issue of networking, Please can you help me.
HELLO GOOD EVENING... I HAVE AN ISSUE MY LAPTOP IS AMD BUT AMD-V CAN'T BE SELECTED OR TURNNED ON CAN'T EVEN CHECK ON IT WHAT MUST I DO IN THIS CASE OR HOW CAN I GET THAT TO RUN ?? HELP PLEASE.... 🙏🏻
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, which virtualbox version was used on the video ?please bc i downloaded the latest version virtualbox 7.0.14 and it may have caused errors when i try to run the OS on a virtual machine
I believe it was 6.1.42. That version is no longer supported. I would recommend trying an older version in 7.0.X. You can get those here: www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_7_0
wonderful there was an issue at 1st becoz i downloaded latest proxmox my system always crashed after entering it. but after installing older version it went great !!
Thanks for the video. I currently struggle with the internet connection of my installed containers. Proxmox has a connection but the containers don’t. Would love a video about that too :)
@@coolkidzzz I am using virt manager on Linux because virtualbox was not able to bridge it correctly :( It was just for learning purposes because I plan to build my own physical thinclient 😀
Solved the issue by dhclient -v vmbr0 command , the Virtual box didn't pick client IP. if you are using oracle it might have to be done manually and setup static ip.
I was using a bridged adapter and that puts the VM on my home network. If you want to assign Proxmox a static IP, you will need to do that from the device that manages your DHCP. This is usually your home router. If you try and manually assign it an IP in the host or Proxmox, your local network will not recognize it.
I had been looking for an example to run and install it on laptop on hyper v from ages and at last I found it 💃. Thank you very much!
Happy to help!
thanks , couldn't use the feature nest for amd , probably because of my low hardware . but still good to know how :)
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! :)

I do this out of habit. Depending on what your installing, it can keep trying to boot from the disk instead of the virtual drive.

its showing multiple network adapters, I can figure which one to use, there is like 8?
You'll want to select the primary network adapter you are using to connect to the internet. This should be the one it defaults to.
What if enable nested is grayed out using Linux?
In your linux console do: VBoxManage modifyvm --nested-hw-virt on
Hello, I installed Linux in Proxmox but Linux can't access the internet, how do I configure it?

Double check you downloaded the correct ISO. That most commonly happens when you download the x86 version and not the ARM version.
@@tatogtech6748. I will double check. But I believe I have the correct iso. Thanks for the reply

What do you mean your IP on the browser does not load?
@@tatogtech6748 I think he is referring to the GUI/ up address that opens the web browser for proxmox
I typed the address from proxmox on my browser, but it doesn't load

I just fixed it actually! Try going to the settings of your Proxmox Virtualbox, then go to network and then advanced, promiscuous mode: allow all

thank u so much wish u all the best!
excuse me sir i want to ask, is it possible if we install the proxmox with nat network not bridge and how to connect with the host if it's possible?
You should be able to, but you would have to do some configuration of the virtual network adapter to allow it to be accessed from the host.
i already changed the network to bridged, but when trying to open the console via host browser cannot be opened, any idea?
Check the IP address on the local network.
Not able to access the ip after picking bridge network , what can cause this?
