@@phantomweight_editz In the novels the Author Tite Kubo stated that Stark and Ichigo were the only living things that got out of Aizen's plans, Ichigo for becoming powerful enough to get to a state where he couldn't make him submit, and Stark for evolving without the hyogoku to a point where it was unknown to where it could keep evolving had he put the effort, Stark was the strongest character that couldn't get affected by Aizen's hypnosis since his soul was divided in two and both couldn't be controlled at the same time. So with that in mind Aizen always tried to get on Stark's good side. Stark was the only espada that died apologizing to Aizen and giving him thanks rather than hateful remarks, there is a reason for that
remember lads, he was fighting a 1vs 5 against the person with the most spiritual person in the entire gotei 13 (ukitake), the future head of the gotei 13 (Shusui), and like 3 evolved arrancars that all became captains, and a few vice captains. He looked weak because of who he was against
