Το βιομετεωρολογικό σύστημα προειδοποίησης HEAT-ALARM και οι σχετικές προειδοποιήσεις αποτελούν προϊόν ερευνητικού έργου, το οποίο υλοποιείται στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, υπό την καθοδήγηση του Δρ. Χρήστου Γιάνναρου ([e-mail]), και σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό Αστεροσκοπείο Αθηνών και το Πανεπιστήμιο του Freiburg. Συνολικά το ερευνητικό έργο HEAT-ALARM (theheatalarm.w...) υποστηρίζεται από το Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας (ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ) στο πλαίσιο της Δράσης «3η Προκήρυξη ερευνητικών έργων ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για την ενίσχυση των Μεταδιδακτορικών Ερευνητών/τριών” (Αριθμός Έργου: 06885)
