    Thank you! This was excellent because I bought regular face paint for my church outreach gathering and I really wanted the one stroke look.

    You are just so full of great information. Thank you so much for sharing all of these wonderful ideas. Have you ever tried brushing different colors of paint onto your sponge..... making a rainbow loaded sponge? Again, for beginners who don't have many one strokes or split cakes. Maybe an idea for another video....

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому

      I have not tried that. Silly Heather has a video on it and she does a great job making it work that way. Similar to this technique I wouldn't do it for tons of kids but one or two designs it would be a good idea.

    This is so awesome and I would love to be able to save money by not buying split cakes, but would I ruin my paint by mixing other colors into it?

  • @erin4338

    I'm new to using face paints, I've barely done it. I do regular makeup on IG. Sometimes for some of the things I do using paints is easier so I bought some and am learning to use them. My question is do you paint on your bare skin or on top of foundation? So far I've done it on my top of my makeup, would it work better if I just did it on my bare skin? I've learned so much just from the two videos I've watched of yours so far! Thank you for making these. ♥️

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому

      Oh either! I do both all the time and it depends on the design but more often I paint over foundation. 💕

    • @erin4338
      @erin4338 5 років тому

      Thank you, that's so helpful to know. I tried it for the first time last night. (On my arm) I did double dipped flowers. They turned out so good even though you couldn't really see the difference in yellow to orange very well. My camera didn't pick it up. 🤷 I'm working up to doing it on my face.

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому +2

      QueenLeo yellow and orange can be hard colors to do double dipped. Try it with darker colors like dark blue or purple. If you are going to do yellow or orange you can also add a touch of brown to the very end to add more contrast.

    If I were to do face painting at a larger event, how would I clean my supplies in between kids if I am in a time crunch?

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому +1

      Well, I'd have a rinse well and brush bath. Are you talking about full sanitization? Because that's not realistic at big gigs.

    • @dreamprincessbirthdays1984
      @dreamprincessbirthdays1984 5 років тому

      Ariel Minervini Thank you. I was asking because I was unsure if people would expect all new clean brushes for each kid as they do for freelance makeup.

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому +4

       Dream PrincessBirthdays it is VERY different than beauty makeup. There are some counties that require you to use a new brush per child, and I personally use a different sponge per child when going over the eyes but if you paint 60 kids at an event to have a new set of brushes per child is just crazy!

    How would you rate Wolf face paints? I've been using Snazzaroo and would like something of better quality. Also, what type of brushes do you recommend? I have water color brushes.

    Are split cakes the same as one strokes?

    • @Arielpaints
      @Arielpaints  5 років тому +2

      I use the term interchangeably a lot, but splitcakes, funstrokes or one strokes usually refer to the smaller cakes and rainbow cakes are usually the larger cakes used with sponges. But I don't think it matters too much.
