The keyboard has a num lock LED indicator. The keyboard does not have the numpad to which it indicates.

Yeah they definitely have a number pad and people get fancy coiled aviator or lemo connector cables to connect them. Though if you don’t want it to work just move it.

The beeper sound is instant nostalgia. in the early 90s one of my computers did that. I could be wrong but it gave me a flashback.
You can probably customize the buzzer sound pretty extensively, if you don't mind compiling your own firmware. QMK can do all sorts of stuff with a speaker like that.

I love solenoids in old keyboards. Some old IBM Model Fs Beamsprings came fitted with them. The Ellipsis remake of the IBM Model F has a solenoid as an option.
Model Fs have Buckling Springs.
The original IBM's had buckling springs. They are loud and I mean loud.
@@johanb.7869 I have an ibm 5251 and it has beamsprings. It's as og as it gets. The solenoid in it makes it even louder.
Beamsprings came first and then buckling springs.
Model Fs never had Beamsprings. They all had Buckling Springs.

Tactile switches: "Look what they have to do to approximate a fraction of our power!" I don't know how many folks want their keyboard to feel like thocc but sound like clickety-clack, but that solenoid got them covered.

This keyboard would probably be really good with some zeal clickiez. Clicky switches are good when you have plenty of room and a nice steel case and plate (I believe you can get a steel plate for the class80), thatd make it quite authentic to old keyboards. It feels like a bit of a waste to fill the thing with foam and put quiet linears in it imo, but if you like the case design to spend that much then go for it.
You could have an absolute blast with this keyboard using silent switches

just fell into this rabbit hole of custom keebs, I bought my first custom with the Akko 5075s barebone, but I don't know what software to use, do you have any recommended software that's easy to program for custom keyboard?
You probably already figured out that Akko 5075s uses vendor's own software, Akko Cloud Driver. For non-QMK boards like these, you don't get to choose.

I just wish I could’ve bought a heavy grail all metal hhk case when they were for sale. Stupid expensive. Stuff a wireless hhk board in there with some custom caps and maybe with a bigger battery. Perfect keyboard.

Just make a keyboard that not only has really loud switches but also a speaker always on max volume which you cannot change that just plays the same sound as the switches when you press any key.
