2:15 apparently sodium bicarbonate, works very well in swimming pools, odd Amel doesn’t give you more access. 🤔.
That would be an excellent question for the Creators only group.. screenshot your problem and ask them advice, my mind goes back to treating it like a swimming pool, chlorine and let it sit a few days, then shortly before flushing the tanks add the bicarbonate, it’s a natural cleaner, and probably very safe as when bath bombs are made from the stuff, + it’s cheap..
But I would ask a real expert first such as Ian from Blownaway..

You're certainly going to have a super looking Galene when you're done with all the jobs. I hate being on the hard, so a hotel room sounds bliss.
The rescue was awesome, well done for capturing it all. Those divers were nuts though, risking their lives under that bowspit 😬.
Good episode, enjoy the UK 🥰⛵️

Thanks for watching Trev and your suggestion on the bicarb totally makes sense. It could be a good maintenance measure going forward. As it stands we’ve consulted with a bunch of Amel owners in the Amel group and have landed on cutting access points and recoating the tank with Jotun Tank Guard paint which is designed specifically for water tanks (food grade covering). This is going to be one of the big jobs we undertake this winter season in the boatyard.

@@SailingSVCordeliathanks for watching Annette. Can you believe we’re so far behind on videos!😮. This was Dec 2022, and we were off back to the UK for Xmas, we did have a good time thanks 😂. As much as we’re not relishing the thought we are back in the yard this winter in Greece for 2 x major interior jobs and then 🤞🏻our winter seasons will start to look better.
Agree with you re; the divers, I don’t know how they came out of it in one piece 😬
      Take care and talk soon.

@@sailwiththegales I realised it was last year and I'm not surprised with what you've had to deal with. Galene must be looking superb now. You're doing alot of the jobs we need to do, just working out where's cheapest to do it 😊

@@SailingSVCordelia ha, ha - yes, feels like she’s coming together finally. If there’s anything we can help with re; approach and cost of work just holler 😊
