R30 for me as it's the only back pack in the range that's 100% waterproof with its inner liner and roll top (basically a bigger version of that R3). Had it 5 years and still good as gold.
I all have the R25 and totally agree it's the best mc rucksack to date..
I've also bought the r3 to carry my pocket tire plugger kit when I'm on a Sunday blast as I have no storage on my tuono. All the best to you Spicy 👍
I have an Alpinestars Roving backpack that I use when I putt around town running errands. Doesn't fit too much, but it's easy to wear and carries around the weight well. Sometimes I forget I have it on.
If I am taking pictures, I wear one of those leg holster bags. You can find them on Amazon or eBay and the specific one I have is branded as Alpinestars(they have a Monster one too) but upon further inspection I learned that they never made one...so I am guessing it's a counterfeit. But the quality of it is spectacular and I would recommend it for anyone who shoots. Especially if you do any sort of offroad riding as the bag is strapped to your leg so it doesn't flop around and is easily accessible while the bike.

I've had an R25 for a while now, expensive but worth it. The harness is everything, it holds the pack still and distributes the weight perfectly, critical for riding. It is however a miserable pack if you want to just sling one strap on, but it is the one I grab when I have to carry a heavy load of stuff around. Also the water bladder option is handy to have.
The 25 also has a laptop pocket that will just fit small 13" type low profile laptops. Also the advice someone gave me is, don't buy a giant backpack, it will just let you put more stuff in it and make it uncomfortable to carry. The 25 is a just right size.
I had a Kriega Rally Pack on my Gilera RCR and absolutely loved it! Now I'm my Husqvarna WRE I'm looking at buying a US pack which would have the advantage of extra storage and being removable from the bike
I have the R30 which is waterproof. Took it to Wales with 4 days worth of clothes, batteries etc. Weighed a ton but was so comfortable. I would never get anything else.
I have the r15 for daily use and I picked up the r30 cause its 100% waterproof and I use it a lot when flying, perfect cabin sized bag and enough space to carry enough for a long weekend. Expensive but a worth while long term investment with 10 year warranty, cheaper bags wont last anywhere near that.
I've got the US-5 and US-10 tail packs. You can get the on and off your bike within 10seconds and they're waterproof. AND you can attatch them to each other or the backpacks. Pricey but very good system and very well made!

Brilliant. I have my eye on the R20, looks great and will fit nicely over an aerodynamic hump on my jacket. The price is slightly lower than the R25 as well.

You can make them all waterproof now with the purchase of a waterproof liner, so if thats something you need then its even better. Hardest thing to do is pick the right bag. They all have something good to offer, i honestly think the 20 might be the best bang for your buck and the 30 would be the close second with the others being more specialised for peoples needs like more space with the 35, less bulk with the 15. 25 is a nice middle of the row between commuting and touring.
I use an R30, I thought I'd be carrying my helmet in there more often. But I think the R25 would be a better day-to-day use size. Anyway, the clasp. 7 years later from this video, it's still not a commonly copied by other bag makers. Is it a patent thing? Who knows. But it it miles ahead in comfort enhancement compared to a simple strap and buckle system across the chest.
I have to agree ive used countless back packs im kinda a kleptomaniac for bags... but the kriega r25 is awesome ive had mine for ages its THE best motorcycle backpack there is no questions. Im a stickler for quality and Kriega certainly gives you that. you get what you pay for and its made in England. Tip for keeping shit dry in the R25 get a large drybag.
Great looking pack will be checking one when needs must. Alpinestars SP2 for me. I swear by them for summer and winter. When really cold I put a pair of thin inners on. Check em out if you haven't already.

Have an R8, 2 US10s, a US20, Urban Messenger, R20 and R35. The R20 has a broken zip now, but its 14 years old, so going to update it with the R30, as its waterproof, and seeing as I almost always ride with at least 1 camera body and lens, I need it to be waterproof.
Have the R30, so it is waterproof and is a phenomenal backpack!
The metal tentoiners for tightening and loosening the straps, do they still hold up the bag when fully loaded or does the bag slip down because it's been so worn in?
I still have and use it to this day never slips. Even full of 15kgs of metal parts in there.

The other day I saw a cruiser rider with about 5 Morrisons (other stores are available) bags hanging off both sides of the bike... Are you telling me that the kriega R25 is a better storage solution then that??

No honestly, this dude properly pimped his bike in morrisons bags, He had some strange rack on the back that I honestly think he made especially! It's genius! I am telling ya!
r3 on amazon.co.uk goes from 50 to 60 depending on what day you look. brilliant kit I swear by the brand

Pointless. The hard shell can actually be dangerous, putting your head in a crap position if you crash. Just get Kriega gear...trust.

R35 is waterproof but still love my R25 10 year guarantee their products are a very worthwhile investment

I own the R20 as well. Solid made and comfy even with some pounds of load in it. If you haven´t much to carry you can tighten the straps without everything flapping around. It isn´t water proof, but water repellent you can tell. And it´s also a very good looking bag, imo.
