LYRICS:
I'm kind of homesick for a country
To which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken
For time won't matter anymore.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I'm longing for you (I'm longing for you)
And some day (And some day) on thee I'll stand (Someday we will stand)
There my home (There my home) shall be eternal (Eternal)
Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
I'm looking now, just across the river
To where my faith, shall end in sight (Shall end in sight)
There's just a few more days to labor.
Then I will take my heavenly flight.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I'm longing for you (I'm longing for you)
And some day (And some day) on thee I'll stand (Someday we will stand)
There my home (There my home) shall be eternal
Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
Beulah Land, oh it's Beulah Land
Oh Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
I have always loved this song but it is even more special to me now. When my husband was in Hospice in February 2018 and very soon to go to Heaven, my daughter and I was singing Beulah Land while holding his hand as he took his last breath and entered Heaven !! I also had it sung at his Funeral by our grandson and his wife. It will always be very special to me and I always cry when I hear it now as it holds a very precious memory for me!
Hearing Squire sing this trophy song always fills my heart with joy and gladness ... no greater blessing in life than knowing Jesus!
As soon as Squire starts to sing tears always well up in my eyes.
This is truly one of the great Christian LONGING-TO-BE-HOME-WITH JESUS songs ever written. And, of corurse, Squire Parsons sings it best of all.
Tears come forth everytime I hear it.💛☝💛💎📖💎☝
My Mama battled breast cancer for 7 years. One Sunday morning she was nearing the end of her life when she requested someone sing her "homecoming" song. We didn't know that song. That night, our Pastor's wife came in and sang to her. This was the last song she sang....this was the song my Mama had waited all day to hear...within minutes she had reached Beulah Land. She was sung into heaven. This song will forever bring tears to my eyes. Well done!
Was it sung again at her funeral?
😥😄sad cause I know you must miss her awfully bad. But I know your so happy she's in heaven .
Sweet story!
rhs77, my cousin sung it at my grandmother's funeral in 1985
Oh my Lord😥... I can almost hear him, "Welcome home my child". Amen❤
Along with many many others this is my theme song of longing to be with Jesus and loved ones who have gone before.
Now 74 and widowed after my beloved wife, Lynne, left earth nearly two years ago for Heaven's Beulah Land, I tear-up every time I hear brother Parsons sing this great classic from the heart.🎼💛🎶🙏👉☝
READY TO GO❗THIS WORLD IS NO LONGER MY HOME❗🔜☝🆙👑
If I leave this earthly life before Rapture, ... this is the main song I ask to be played at my funeral Memorial.
This was at Anderson University's Reardon Auditorium Anderson,Indiana. I was there. What a Blessing it was.
What a treat! Hearing Squire and Ernie together again singing one of my favorite songs. Yes. I’m ready for sweet Beulah Land. God Bless 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was able to hear him at this last NQC before he retired. what a wonderful song. I am ready to go to Beulah land and see my family that has passed on
I sure agree with you
This is truly one of the great Christian LONGING-TO-BE-HOME-WITH JESUS songs ever written. And, of corurse, Squire Parsons sings it best of all.
Tears come forth everytime I hear it.💛☝💛💎📖💎☝
I have heard a couple versions of this song and no matter what it's a beautiful tune which my husband Bill would want played at his memorial service.
Every time I see Squire sing this I am blessed. Only he can do justice to this song.
The place to be happy is here. The time to be happy is now.
My mother n law loved this song as did my mother, it makes me cry, specially when i think on them, they are both with God now,and i miss talking to my mama.
I miss music like this on the radio. Twas a great part of my upbringing,
True Mikola, years gone by.
My mom's favorite song. My husband would sing this for her.
Greatest gospel song ever written in my opinion
This man when he sings I surrender to Jesus a thousand times - it is a glimpse into the Kingdom of God - Captivated in the Lord. Glory to God on most high. Amen ❤
Mr. Parsons is getting up there in years since I first saw him as a young man....he is going to remind me of the great George Beverly Shea before long....long live some of the best anointed gospel music vocalists of all time!!!!!
Jesus, Jesus sweetest Name I know. God is our help and comfort for eternity. Amen Hallelujah!
what a beautiful song. Squire Parsons really can write them and sing them. I loved when He sang with the Kingsmen quartet. What an artist!
The comment below is incorrect. Squire Parsons has not arrived in Beulah Land. He still lives and walks this earth among us!
My God this is beautifull!! simply Beautiful. How about it Squire Parsons
The most beautiful song that Squire Parsons ever wrote...among many, but this one is the most beautiful of all, to me.
Squire Parsons and EHSS sound great together
Most wonderful anointed heaven sent voice I've heard in all my days of listening to gospel music.

A good friend sang this at my wife's funeral Dec.22,2020.

Hey! That was uncalled for. He's only a year older than me. Besides, I like this version of Beulah Land much better. ua-cam.com/video/utjzdSUsz2o/v-deo.html

Song feels empty in the chorus without the legend JD Sumners that G1 he hit in this song is the best version I've heard
Had Squire Parsons at our church just recently in feb at COMMUNITY BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH ST . PETERSBURG FLA, SWEET BEULAH LAND !!!!
squire Parsons wrote this beautiful song. I had it sung at my loved ones funeral
Beulah Land, the hymn, was written by Edgar Page Stites (1876).
Beulah Land was sung in our church in the early 1950's.
I am holding a copy of the original Beulah Land in my hand. It was written by Edgar Page Stites in 1876. The music was by John Robson Sweney. This song was sung in our church in the early 1950's.
Probably the best rendition of this song! It has always been Squire's signature song and here he does it with the ideal quartet to round it off. So sad to know that meanwhile Squire has already arrived in Beulah Land, but at least we have wonderful memories of his singing, and some day when we have also passed over, we can look him up and sing with him!.
Squire Parsons is still alive and walking this earth with us!
@@gregfaggart6173 praise lord brother squire is alive he must be alive for singing for a long time

My Daddy battled cancer. Also he decided to not take treatments for it. He had bladder cancer. He ask my sister and I to have this and the holy city sang at his funeral. My brother, sister and I miss him everyday.
I am holding a copy of the original hymn, Beulah Land, in my hand. It was written by Edgar Page Stites in 1876. The music was by John Robson Sweney. I remember this song being sung in our church in the early 1950's. It is much different from the song that is called Beulah Land now.
This is the Beulah Land that I love to hear and sing. ua-cam.com/video/utjzdSUsz2o/v-deo.html

Joseph Stalin on counting the votes
"The people who cast the votes don't decide an election,
the people who count the votes do."
Joseph Stalin
Not any better than Squire and Earnie Hasse and Signature Sound
MercyMe
Nice effort but I prefer the version by The Isaacs.
These words sung by Squire Parsons are contrary to the holy scriptures. His words are idle, vain, of the flesh, not of God's spirit and therefore not acceptable to the Lord Jesus according to the authority of these holy precepts of the LORD:Psalm 119:54Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.Colossians 3:16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.John 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.Isaiah 30:1-3Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: [2] That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! [3] Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.Matthew 7:21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.John 7:17-18If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. [18] He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.Mark 7:6-9He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. [7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. [8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. [9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.1 Timothy 6:3-5If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; [4] He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, [5] Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
You sir, are a fool!
And what exactly is your point? Seems like to me you're all over the place.
The words to his songs are divinely inspired.
@@cathycfla it is so lovely song
