Chuck, i just want you to know that because of you, I purchased years ago my Privia PX-560 and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for all you do, Chuck!

The pitch-bender and modulation controllers are well positioned.

“Coupled” == Layer in normal synth parlance.
“Lower” and “Upper” are similarly Splits in normal parlance, though all of the above may be split and balanced in completely customiseable ways.
The names of these sections come from classical pipe organ terminology.

That's correct, but many keyboard players are not versed in that verbiage. My reviews make it such that everyone can understand what I'm talking about, therefore simply renaming it (or making it analogous) to A, B, C, D instantly clicks with most keyboard players out there who are not versed in organ terminology. After all, this is a stage piano and not a dedicated organ keyboard.

I’m considering between the two similarly, @PianoManChuck, but for one additional reason: For reasons that I may never truly fathom (and yes, I’ve confirmed this directly with Dexibell), it’s _not_ the same TP-400W in the S10 that Studiologic use in their Numa X GT! The latter uses the TP-400WEs, the Fatar model of the same keyboard that _also_ adds escapement (simulation) which the S10 does _not_ have!
Don’t get me wrong, I love my Numa X GT with my Dexibell SX8 sound module! But it would be really nice to be able to have the features and sound of the Dexibell but only have to cart one (much lighter weight!) instrument around!
Nonetheless, it drives me nuts that Dexibell use the TP-400WEs on their higher-end H-series home pianos (the H7 and the various H10 models) but continue to not even have a version of their stage pianos that include it! I was hoping they might do that for the new S8 but alas, yet again, I’m left with my current rig.

Thanks for your input. In reality since there are no hammers to be considered, there's no actual need for escapement in a stage piano. Some classical pianists might prefer to have it for a more authentic feel even though its a simulated feel. Personally, escapement in a digital piano is unimportant for my own needs.

Oh, I get that; I’m assuming that’s why Dexibell won’t offer it! 😉 If I _just_ needed a gigging piano, I’d be super happy with just the S3Pro or S10 or Numa X 73 or Korg SV2 or… But I need a stage piano and a studio controller and a good studio digital piano (in addition to the real ones!) and so far the Numa X GT has fit that bill great, with the SX8 helping with the piano and orchestral sounds. I’m also extremely pleased with my K2700 as a controller and a great sounding instrument, but man do I hate lugging that thing around to gigs!

@@mrdavies7894have the same dilemma. Did you go with the SL Numa X GT? Think the simulated escapement could be great, or a flow interruption.., thanks PianoManChuck always following your great videos. 🙏🏻

@@longaker Yes, I’ve been using the Numa X GT with the SX8 for about the past year and it’s been great. I personally prefer the feel of the GT to any of the Roland/Yamaha/Korg offerings, just as I prefer the sound of the Dexibell. I’ve not been able to try the Kawai MP or ES series, yet, nor the Nord Grand, but from what I’ve seen and read, those are currently the only contenders for my needs. The problem with all of the above (except perhaps for the ES) is that the GT + SX8 is the only really _portable_ solution I’ve yet found!

Oops. Can not understand either why they are make the two looks alike but with quite a substance difference. Agree with you, Chuck on your thought with the 76 keys instead of same 88 keys instead of the confusing same 88 keys.

How is does the pivot length and acoustic action feel compared to a kawaii MP11SE. Still trying to find a slab that can compete for acoustic action feel.

As satisfied as I am with the Numa X GT action, it is true that nobody else has managed to do better than the MP11SE. Except, perhaps Raven. Which is a re-branded MP11SE. 😂
