Crushing that second verse and harmonies WHILE crushing it on drums? Awesome! Love the cover and performance.
I think that's the only weak spot of the performance- the drummer, except for a brief section during the bridge, only sang melody. It lost the lush depth of the original.
@@humphrey623 The drummer also rocked the entire second verse. It’s a tough one to sing - got to be doubly so while keeping up that hi hat / snare action. I think it’s very cool.
@@anonymousforensic I'm not arguing the drummer isn't excellent, nor that the song wasn't done well, just that the drummer didn't provide a harmony and the performance would've been better if she had.

@DoctorPecker really? The thing I contested was the claim that the drummer added harmonies as the above commenter claimed, as it's clear she sang the melody for almost the entire song. Why do you think differently?
Seeing San Cisco on Triple J is always welcome. Everytime they're on, you can witness their immense growth as a group and talents. Awkward got me hooked, and you havent disappointed since then.

I was actually super excited for this - I can forgive the interesting key selection but I kept waiting for that top harmony line (JB part) in the chorus and it just -did not deliver - that is arguably the best driving part of the song, these guys usually slap on the harmonies, I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t.

Yeah, it doesn't really add anything new to the track. Very mid
