  • Testing my pair of Briley Helix Hunter -- Medium Range (0.015") Invector Plus, in a Browning Cynergy, 30" barrels, on a high pheasants shoot.
    Ammo was KENT FastLead, 2 3/4", 1 1/4 Oz, #5 Shot, 1,345 fps.
Used the second barrel a lot, as you can see... But, in my defence, my boots were slippery on the snow and I was was rather concerned not to slip and fall with a loaded firearm with the safety off, then to mount the gun properly... I also didn't follow through properly, to get good after shot footage, for the same reason.
Bottom line, the chokes did well, when I did my job properly. I've got solid shots at ranges in excess of 45 yards, which tells me the pattern is quite good.
This season, I didn't have a chance to test the short range ones (0.005" constriction) on a duck hunt over decoys, but it's on the list for next season.
With the weather improving, next one will be patterning board with various ammo.
