I have always thought you were a talented guitar player, but I feel like this showcased a lot of skill.
Awesome. My question is besides the obvious with intensive practice, how the hell do they remember it all live lol, so damn impressive.
you genuinely startled me with the pointing at 6:30
The thing about concept albums is that I think it's cool when they do a story, but most of the time I have no clue what's happening and what it's about and have to look it up.
Same, except I usually don't bother looking anything up and just live with interpreting everything incorrectly. Coheed and Cambria pushed me into this approach, I love all of their albums but from what I know of the actual story I quickly got the sense that it would be much more enjoyable to just treat them as abstract concepts rather than learning exactly what insane space opera Claudio is coming up with. The Mars Volta is another good example, Goliath has a much cooler story when you just have a vague idea of people dealing with some trapped eldritch abomination rather than trying to sift through the "band claims to have found a haunted ouija board, drugs totally not involved" narrative they intended it to have.
Love the "classic video game" version at the end there. Made me think of dig dug or maybe donkey Kong. Great guitar playing too! BTBAM!
Absolutely love these BTBAM video breakdowns. I'm so grateful to have access to this analysis.
That transition is my favorite part of the whole album
Sick uneven structure shirt. I feel like they are super slept on and underrated
I just saw them at Montréal 1 week ago! This was crazy
Intro to ANTS... took me 10 years
I recommend checking out Unlorja - Journal, you'd really dig it
You should do an analysis of a discordance axis song might be interesting!
MORE BTBAM
lol nice intro
That remixed Bloom at the end is so silly and good. WTF! Hahaha.
I want to hear the whole song like that! 🤣
