to be fair, clash has always been there, we just opted not to pick it. Who knows, maybe we won't pick it this time around either and Equinox is just testing and having fun

What are some major dos and donts for brew if you dont mind sharing? Also, would you be so kind as to show/shaee the build you used for this video?

build is in the description, and the biggest do's is make sure you're going through defensives quickly and getting used to just using stuff frequently. get a tracker for purified chi and use celestial brew at 7-10 stacks (you can blackout combo celestial brew if you're at 7 for a 10 stack). biggest dont is do huge pulls when you aren't comfortable, don't be afraid to play slow and just get used to the rotation and your limits
Just one heads up from a veteran middling-tier brew player: for as long as I can remember, since the Shadowlands overhaul, I've noticed one recurring EXTREMELY weird property of brewmaster: the lower the key, the less your stagger bar moves, and the more your health bar moves. The higher the key, the opposite (to a point; when you're pushing the limits of what your gear is capable of, you get the hp yoyo visible in this video, but that's besides this point). Don't freak out. I don't know what the fuck is going on with this, it's beyond just "you're strong in red stagger and low keys = only green stagger." Just stick with it. As you get a little bit more gear, and as the key number goes up a bit, it starts to feel a LOT better.
I slam-dunked 13s one night "losing earth shield and ward privileges" to cite my rsham friend, then found my HP regularly dropping to 30-40% on non-chained, just-this-pack pulls in +2-5's I did for crests the next day. It's WEIRD. Just accept it and fight through the low key "where the fuck is my defense" hell.

how do you feel about black ox brew vs bob and weave at this point? saw you had black ox in the vid, is that just bc of the lower gear on beta or some other reason?
both have their place, i think with special delivery black ox is more dps but its not enough to require it
Black Ox also synergises better with Master of Harmony too though no? Another way to press Celestial Brew and to activate the stored dmg/healing?
@@CrippsyS my feeling is that this may depend on the details of the stored damage.
Like if it has a cap or anything like that.
@@GrantBrown-sp2tg it’s based on max health but isn’t something you’ll hit quickly. As you say, may not need if you can “spend it all” with the normal Celestial Brew charges.

613, max ilvl is 634 ish with end boss gear

Agree. Thats why i no longer play dk oder bm. Next addon i will play warr as it is the only tank who is not that squishy
@@markust4421 yeah the tankyness of prot warrior is great but man having grip, slappy hands, and AMS makes M+ so much easier like a night and day difference. Plus early reviews of TWW are basically all saying the season 1 dungeon pool is crazy bad with casters and unmovable mobs so dk’s are going to be really strong.
True and warr is kinda boring too. But im sick of beeing one shot as a tank xD
My humble, private wish is that they would take (a *lot* of) power out of self-heals and absorbs and put it into stagger. Everyone and their mother has heals & absorbs; stagger is one of the most unique mechanics in the whole game, definitely the only truly unique tank mechanic, yet it feels like it's taking a back seat compared to those. Pug healers spamming themselves oom on me and causing me to do infinite overheal when I would be just as fine if they completely ignored me is getting a bit tedious as well, because they have no idea how brewmaster works and don't trust in my self-sustain at all because my HP isn't static.
I still prefer my brew monk over my pwarr though. Brew has SO MUCH healing. You positively shit healing spheres on a big pack sitting in deep red stagger, then easily vacuum them up with spin and tapdance to eat, then slam an expel harm and munch them all up for gigajuiced heals if you suddenly drop a bit too low. It's really an extremely satisfying playstyle, but yeah, I would still vastly prefer it if more of the sustain was placed in stagger, just to slow down the yoyo that's panic inducing unless you're very familiar & comfortable with the spec.
I've been playing prot warrior this season and was thinking exactly that!

shadowlands feels so special to play in. i loved this expansion because it had every single psyche gimmick that gave players a sense of a collective identity. here we go with the parasocial shite.
