I had a restaurant at Northern Illinois while he was a student there. After games he would stop by and some times I got a chance to talk to him. Even back then he was impressive. He had his head on straight in a way few college kids did. I've always been proud to know this man, even for a few minutes here and there. If I had a son playing for the Gophers, it would make me very happy knowing he was the boy's coach.
I'm a Penn State fan who was impressed with Minnesota and wanted to learn more about the "row the boat" thing, which I thought was a Minnesota slogan related to the many lakes, but I found out it was the coach's slogan, someone directed me here. Oh wow, I'm crying right now, I feel so sad for him that he lost his son, especially so soon. I'm so sorry for his loss. :( I'm so happy he was able to find inspiration from a philosophy he came up with. This is so inspirational and touching. That's such a good philosophy, we as humans can achieve great things if we work together.
We here at WMU miss you sooo very much Coach Fleck❤️your son will forever be in our hearts and we will always miss what you’ve brung to our program #GoBroncos #RowTheBoat2016
Say what ever you want but he will go down in history as the best MAC Coach. I am sure he misses the Broncos with his 0-4 standings yet the Broncos are 4-0 with Lester. Fleck can work as a speech motivator if he gives up coaching.
A MUST WATCH! As a coach, as a director & as an oarsman this resinates with me to the 'T.' Coach Fleck's philosophy, well more specifically "Belief System & a Way of Life," is so very true and spot on. Great man and great story on how he turned around the Western Michigan football program. Something tells me he's going to be around coaching for a long time. -Coach Ryan Bishel
Count your lucky stars Jim Jones or L Ron Hubbard didn't get to you first. You're obviously influenced by snake oil salesman. Do you have any essential oils to sell to me? This guy is a fucking nut job.
Cult leader. Grant Cardone of college football. Very fitting for UMN though, a thoroughly mediocre university in every way. And Minneapolis is now a complete disaster. Fleck is a perfect fit for that disaster.
