Cooking with Mama Wong is a series where my mom teaches the viewers her best dishes. This series is one of the most popular dishes she makes, Minced Pork Rice, and she is sharing the recipe with you all! Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
Minced Pork Rice (卤肉饭）
Three Layer Pork Meat (三层肉)
500 grams (半斤)
Mushroom (香菇)
7 Pieces (7小朶)
Fried Scallion (油葱酥)
5 Tablespoon (5大匙)
Rock Sugar (冰糖)
1 Tablespoon (1大匙)
Soy Sauce (酱油)
Half a cup (半杯)
Five Spice Powder (五香粉)
1 Teaspoon (1小匙)
Black Pepper (胡椒粉)
1 Teaspoon (1小匙)
Cucumber Salad (小黄瓜)

When we went to Shilin with my Taiwanese cousins, they bought this for us because it's their favorite. We loved it! Yes, it kinda tastes like adobo, without the garlic undertone. I love how the fat melts in your mouth when you eat it with rice. OMG. I'm hungry.

My grandmother from my mom side is chinese. When she cooks food it taaaaakes hella long, there are a lot of procedures to do which includes marinating, boiling, then frying then some of it she will have to boil AGAIN!!! Chinese cooking is really an art.
