- Expend was produced by Prue Stevenson, a Melbourne based artist on the autism spectrum, on 31 March 2017, in the Writer's Block Cafe, Borchardt Library. Prue is a Taekwondo Black Belt, and performance art helps her expend the excess energy caused by autism. An exhibition of Prue's work was arranged by the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) in partnership with the La Trobe Art Institute, to mark World Autism Day at La Trobe University on 2 April 2017.
There’s people that watch this in amazement. That’s scary.
Was looking for a good tutorial on how to paint the walls of the guest bedroom. Thanks for the good tips. 👍
I took some taekwondo myself. She is doing a series of "ahre ahp olligi" kicks. They look almost like "neria chagi" - axe kicks - but they do not hammer down at the end of the follow throughs like the axe kick does.
Lmfao
Please refer the Latrobe Art Institute (LAI) #WAAD2017 "Expend" art exhibition: Artist’s Talk Audio, PowerPoint Presentation & Video, for more information on this work and it’s relationship to my Art Practice. Regards, Prue

The strongest kick in the land
cant imagine how she trained at home for this...

A performance well done!
Adorei as pernas dela pintando e o sorriso dela no finalzinho kkk

You don't. know about anybody else but I really got a kick out this video.

Regardless of how I interpret this it was very interesting to watch.

Kick. Black paint. “Art”. Kick. Black paint. “Art”. Kick. Black paint. “Art”. Kick - - I forgot what comes next. Oh, that’s right 🍑💨 - “comments from observation from the purest form within self quarantine, 2020” - Anonymous comment artist
she should try MMA too...
Is it whole MMA you just can't figure out?
Great work, Very interesting.
No it sucks
@@Kapojos no, it doesn't.
Interesting.
I mean its cool and all, i'm sure it was exausting, but what is going on? And why not put the paper or "canvas" on the floor instead? Or lower it at least on the wall?
I think she wanted it to be hard for her. If she put it on the floor she would pretty much just have to walk across it.
Is performance art, that is the point...
schier wahnsinnig. Ja fast bekloppt
Что не сделаешь ради славы‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

J'ai une très, très mauvaise nouvelle.
Il ne faut pas confondre peinture et karaté...
Wtf is this 😂🤣 weird side of yt
Pretentious crap.
Nothing more than a mess made by an entitled person. ABSOLUTELY no talent necessary
Maybe it's not about the talent.
I mean its cool and all, i'm sure it was exausting, but what is going on? And why not put the paper or "canvas" on the floor instead? Or lower it at least on the wall?
You don't need talent to create something.
it's called hamparte.
Que estupidez!!!
es una estupides.
Would rather see a bunch of Thai kickboxers or Taekwondo black belts do variations of kicks. Not someone that obviously doesn't know how to kick, doing only shitty axe kicks. hahaha. But glad she had fun!
She is an autistic person with a Black Belt in Taekwondo. She uses performance art as a way to show the process of expending her excess energy that helps her self-regulate. It's not always about what she does, but the purpose behind it.
We love outsiders who think pretentiously💀
