    I paid Exactly $10, 556.00 Dollars for my Painted Metal roof just last month. The Paint Warranty alone is guaranteed for 40 years & my Insurance carrier now stated they won't even revisit the roof structure again for another 30 years. I am classified as a Disabled Veteran & granted a $500 dollar discount, plus since I paid these monies essentially up front the above was my total cost & the job was completed on 02/01/2022. Noticeably right away my light bill consumption went down right away, as well as my Homes Central AC usage since application of the painted Metal Roof. ALL done by CUSTOM ROOFING of Ocala, monies that were very well spent

      @@durwoodeverett9202 I would shop around, that sounds to be too much for a roof. Mine isn't standing seem & they drilled into the roof with fasteners, which is totally normal, but I have had 0 problems as the roofing company I used has a reputation of doing roofs right the 1st time. You see my companies roofs all around town where I live

    I am in Minnesota and looking at having my roof completely replaced due to hail damage and brittle shingles right now so I want to do a complete tear off and replace it with a metal roof since my house is only 1100 ft.² I was hoping it would be under $20,000 so I’m going to be getting some quotes and bids on it. I know that one company bid or gave me an estimate of 15,500 just for shingles to be done and rubber put under our lower portion of our roof due to not enough inclined since we have vaulted ceiling’s going to different directions, and a partial that goes over our patio to our laundry room so we will see hopefully I can get some bids or do it ourselves because I would rather go with a metal roof since we live in Minnesota have a lot of snow and hail, and Highwinds to prevent another insurance claim.

    Just put on 22 square of standing seam for $14,250. Pretty much double want I was quoted for asphalt shingles. I'm happy. This roof will last me 2 -3 times long as asphalt would in my area.

    I bought my metal roof last September for $7,500. My aunt had her's done a couple months before mine by the same roofers for $2K less, but she doesn't have 2 porch roofs and a gable like mine. Just hope it lasts 20 yrs, give or take coz I'm almost 60.

    Your video shows + installation cost.... so do we add the install cost at 12/ sf to the cost of 10-16/ sf ? or is it included.

    • @WesternStatesMetalRoofing
      @WesternStatesMetalRoofing  Рік тому

      Lots of variables, but standing seam will likely cost about $10 to $14/Sq. Ft including installation and delivery. Corrugated will be about $7 to 10 sq. ft.

    I think that those numbers may not be realistic in areas like mine(NorCal) Previous quote for my home 3 years ago ran $20/sqft. Now, Id bet $25 to maybe $30. Not much residential metal done around here.

    • @WesternStatesMetalRoofing
      @WesternStatesMetalRoofing  2 роки тому

      Bill, I appreciate any feedback on this subject and No Cal would absolutely be one of the more expensive regions to get an estimate. It's truly an impossible question to answer without knowing anything about the panel that's being used, location of job, and difficulty of the job, etc. $25 t0 $30/sq. ft would be quite high, but in many instances $10 to $16 may be too low. Even when you look at the Metal Roofing Alliance website it says $8 to $12 which is low.

      That is in large part due to higher labor costs and fixed/operating costs of roofing companies in your area. Here in the Seattle area we are also seeing $20+/sqft for standing seam metal. I've seen a little cheaper than that, but the companies charging $17-18/sqft are banging them out without attention to detail and it shows. I don't think even the fly-by-night operations here would charge as low as $10-16/sqft like this channel states.

      @@trefzgererik Seattle is California north. Costs would be consistent. For those that don’t know what I’m referring to, the border from California no longer exists, those that voted for what they wanted all fled north to escape their hell. They brought their hell with them, also their arrogance and non stop noise and traffic pollution. Coming to a state near you soon. They don’t assimilate, they recreate. Rats fleeing a sinking ship just to chew holes in the next ship. The costs to live where I was born has become unaffordable. They vote for the same people and things that are detrimental to the cost of doing business that only increases exponentially the price a consumer pays. The only difference between California as a whole compared to the Seattle Tacoma area is, lack of Sun to keep the homeless warm. Yes, I’m ranting.

    Great video. Super informative and a good starting point. I just bought a new home in Michigan knowing full well that the roof is worn out. Trying to decide if I should invest in a steel roof as I will likely reside there for at least 10 years.

    • @WesternStatesMetalRoofing
      @WesternStatesMetalRoofing  2 роки тому

      A metal roof becomes cheaper at the point in which you have to replace the second shingle roof. In your case it's a new roof now and another one in 15 years or so. If you plan on being at your house for that period of time than a metal roof would be a better long term investment. In addition, it will increase the resale value of the residence. There's a video about this if you're interested.

      I’m a metal roof installer. My recommendation is Standing Seam. The best and most watertight i’have seen. Invest once and you can practically forget about your roof as long as the roof is standing. But make sure to get a good and experienced installer or they’ll ruin it.

      You will NOT want to use steel in a coastal application. Aluminum, copper, or zinc will be a better alternative. Most manufacturer's in your area will have Miami Dade testing on there panels.

    How about standing seam copper? Real copper?

    • @WesternStatesMetalRoofing
      @WesternStatesMetalRoofing  2 роки тому +3

      Charlie, The cost of real copper is at an all time high and it will be difficult to even find anyone that has copper available for purchase. At the moment we do have copper in stock, but it disappears quickly. Here's some ballpark numbers for material and labor. If you need to purchase the panels and want a price for materials only, email a sales associate, sales@westernstatesmetalroofing.com
      Corrugated Copper Roofing Cost - $15 to $22 Per Sq. Ft.
      Standing Seam Copper Roofing Cost - $17 to $27 Per Sq. Ft.
      There's another option that will cost about 1/4 of real copper (material price is 1/4, labor about the same). It will be a good option as long as this is NOT a coastal application. Painted products that look like a patina'd copper. See link below .
