As much as I like how the Slingers (Identity Crisis) suits look, I'm not a big fan on how they're being used here. The reason Spider-Man had all these alternate personas was because he was framed by Norman Osborn for murder in the comics, and had to adopt different identities to clear his name.
But that doesn't work here when Norman Osborn, the man who framed Spider-Man in the first place, is his mentor giving him the suits. It also doesn't work because he doesn't have any reason to take up any different persona that differs from him being Spider-Man, other than just fanservice. Prodigy, Hornet, and Dusk all look amazing here, but they have no real purpose being here.
I want to give this show a chance, but it's moments like this where I struggle to give it the benefit of the doubt. Here's hoping the show turns out good despite intial flaws.
