Favorite place in the world. Childhood memories, working out there behind the scenes over the years, going on dates, getting married and taking the kids, now taking grandkids. Comfort food for the soul..
State Fair Of Texas has always been a great place to go. Has grown through the years into something everyone talks about. Awesome place to visit and memories to be made.
I read that the Cotton Bowl was laid out where the racetrack was located. Therefore, I assume this was in front of where the Cotton Bowl is now. This is conjecture..
I couldn't believe it when I was told that I believe by my mom and grandmother both. Blacks were allowed I believe on Juneteenth. That's what I said the fair wasn't even open. I said what could they do out there. They said take a picnic lunch. I'm like oh wow no rides. No good fair food. How boring. How unfair.

Odd question, but the kind of shed entrance at 3:05- does anyone know where that was located? At the entrance? Maybe where they had the horse races?
