At altitudes higher than 5500ft, STOL (60deg Nacelle Takeoff and Landings) are required due to air density. Also note that for VTOL, the max weight allowed at sea level is 52,000lbs, which is greatly reduced at higher altitudes. 2. To sustain a hover at sea level, quite a bit of throttle is required. Takes a while to get used to it. 3. Cargo bay is visible from the outside if you open the doors. We decided not to make it visible from the inside just to improve performance.

I think MSFS does density altitude and if it does then thats the reason why you couldnt hover at that altitude, density altitude is pressure altitude corrected for nonstandard tempurature, lets say its a hot humid day in MSFS and your airport altitude is somewhere near your ceiling for your aircraft, you real altitude will be higher than indicated altitude on your altimeter because of the heat and the humidity so you might be over your aircraft ceiling and the ceiling is the rate of climb(ROC) doing under 100feet per minute(FPM).

They could put longer wings onto the plane and 4 engines then it could be also land and takeoff as a normal plane
