The right kind of pineapple is called okinawa snack. Look it up
You can do it with normal pineapple it just has to be ripe. Only saying this cause I got a ripe pineapple and did this a couple days ago.

Also for the Strawberry One, I take off the green leaf at the top of the Strawberry and then I poke the straw through the top.

The strawberry hack is more for prep work as in when u aren’t immediately just eating the strawberries but preparing them to go on cakes or for chocolate-dipping etc etc where the leaves get in the way

The pineapple used in the video is a special kind of pineapple that lets you take apart the pineapple like that. In brasil that kind of pineapple is called "gomo de mel"

are really ripe, almost yellowish/orange, so it is really softer than the ones you tried, which are still more green in it.

The pineapple was cut wrong to start with. To remove the top you have to cut around the spikes, not straight across. Straight across makes the big mess, around the spikes is neater.

The pineapple trick only works with a very ripe pineapple. You can see the one in the original video is very yellow/golden, while the ones they were trying were mostly green.
