Damn Elyoya gave out quite the speech. It really looks like the guy is thoughtful, from formulating his ideas over people settling for the nice pay cut just in LEC and not aiming higher, to maybe not being able to win it all, but to still be up to play the role of the trailblazer who will help to close the gap for the future generations of EU teams. The man has heart, and it shows. LET'S GO MAD!!!

Theres a reason G2 wanted him. Him and Caps wanted to play together but the buyout was blocked by MAD last year because after G2 met MAD's request, Mad decided to increase it again

Sure, but it's funny hearing them speak like that when they have admitted to playing scrims loosely and not really caring in the Lec. I guess they get serious for internationals like Worls or MSI? I remember the last international tournament, hopefully they do better.
@@TheSquirrelbeastI mean he isn't talking about the team itself but about his mindset. He has spoken about it in stream lots of times and he is been working like crazy this year with a very strict schedule and tryharding a lot even if the results weren't that good. This was specially because at the end of last year he felt like he didn't gave all he had and he regreted not giving his 100%

dude has been like that since the beginning, has been one of my favourite players since that 2021 clip of Mad losing Game 2 to DK
Elyoya and Cinkrof were my favorite players, when Cinkrof left it's just Elyoya now. They take competition seriously and is not afraid to take and give criticisms. Sucks the region is weak compared to LCK and LPL but would be nice if EU actually pops off this Worlds.

Wow, what a powerful motivational speech from the guys, especially Elyoya. I really wanna stand behind them and cheer for them at Worlds.
Elyoya is seriously one of the best players to ever come out of Europe, that mindset is what the west needs.
His mindset is commendable, but until he can bring his team to international success then i remain reserved. He's good, but when MAD has shown up i always felt like that came from Humanoid and not Elyoya. Hopefully we can see more out of him at international level.
Elyoya has proven that he can win without Humanoid, the opposite is not true.. Mad only started winning when Elyoya joined

Damn as a long time fan it sometimes breaks my heart to see how passionate Elyoya is. Yes, he has a winner’s mindset. But if it doesn’t work out, I hope he won’t be too hard on himself and has the emotional support to overcome disappointment.

Ivern is gonna be a huge pick. The aoe heal from redemption and the shields on the frontliners in mid-late gm teamfights can be a difference maker. I wanna see the west utilize enchanters while also drafting for tanky engage for front to back teamfights with mid and adc on hypers. Heck, some Karthus/Soraka wombo combo, Senna/Seraphine (used with Ivern jg, Olaf top, and Trynd mid ghosting on enemy backline getting extension on Seraphine ult/Senna ult layered over/ Ivern redemption over the top of Olaf/Trynd), Kalista/Renata (throws Renata in with ult to get best placement possible for Renata ult on key targets.)
Sample drafts with Xayah/Kai'sa banned (think how these ults synergize and layer):
Olaf, Ivern, Tryndamere, Seraphine, Senna
Rumble, Wukong, Orianna, Kog'maw, Braum
Poppy, Karthus, Jayce, Draven, Soraka

I actually think that if they can fix the coinflip mental, theyre the best eu botlane, carzzy can def be better then hans, and miky and hyli are also rlly close. The rosters potential is as big as G2's is MAD 3-0 LETS GOOO

I always believe in you guys, i felt like mad was the spiritual sucessor or UOL in the LEC, the team that got me to love league. Having hilly on the squad just feels like the cherry on top.

With who though? and hasnt every other super team failure made you realise that those kinds of teams just dont work ever. His talent is wasted on MAD (and it wouldve been pretty cool to see him on G2 if they didnt block the transfer and if Yike wasnt in discussion) but theres no team that he could go to that would utilise him well. Elyoya does amazing when he has a similarly great midlaner. Caps has Yike, Huma has Razork, Vetheo has Jankos, Perkz has Daglas (it seems), only good midlaner without a jng locked is Larrsen but Koi is suffering in finances
Elyoya contract ends this year. In the Spanish community there has been a lot of info regarding his next steps. He is basically building the team he wants. And he really wants to win worlds at some point in his career

Also there isn't a team that could want him better than Mad, G2 and Fnatic already have what it looks like stamples of their team in jungle, Koi is no longer a competitive team, Vitality would kill his career, Heretics has Jankos and the other teams are just a downgrade
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but this MAD team had the potential to be exactly the kind of super team you are asking for. All the individual pieces have shown glimpses of potential throughout the year, but never got their team work together. And Elyoya was definitely a part of the problem. Monte and Thorin love to joke about non-existent synergy between Razork and Humanoid, but they should look at Elyoya and Hyli as well.

I fully agree with the sentiment. This isn’t about supporting a team. This is about EU trying to level up to beat Chinese teams. I’d be happy with any of the LEC teams doing well.
I'm pretty sure nobody has any hopes for MAD so if they somehow manage to get out of swiss stage everyone will be surprised. Its only a win-win situation from here on
Except for all the haters. It’s insane how many people legit hate them for no reason. If they win a game vs a good team, they will say it’s luck or the enemy throwing, and if they lose, they say it’s just because they suck hard. There is no winning for Mad lions while so many people blindly hate them.
@@ferst262 hater is one thing, but result is another. Mad lion is really good in Lec, but international, they are the same as a wildcard team. I will never consider them as part of LEC in international, unless they can beat C9...they need a redemption to prove themself. Lec don't need a team that alway embarrassing themself in every appearance.

Results say MAD is the only team apart from G2 to even make it to the international stage this year, you won’t see hate for BDS, neither for Fnatic, not as much as for MAD, who won spring split as well… stop mistaking organisation and team, history is irrelevant in lol, this specific team has only played internationally once, so you can’t judge this roster with hate because of it. LEC teams are always embarassing, even G2 getting clapped. Grow a brain or get a new one, yours is definitely not working well you random hater

And if it make you happy, then ima change it to organinzation. MAD as an organization have been an embarassment to LEC. You don't see BDS or FNC goes 0:6 and not even make it to play in. What do you mean, reaching worlds quaterfinals aint nothing. Going 2-3 in bo5 against DK, who was rulling world champion atm aint nothing. Yeah, they are not FNC or G2 with international titles, but still they made some good results.

MAD gapped BDS, so idk why you expect more from them. Against BDS, you just have to ban Darius and Olaf, they get gapped. They struggled to make it into this prt of worlds.
@@ferst262 last time MAD faced BDS (in summer), MAD got stomped. The time before that, it was a 3-2 series with close game 3.
Then MAD was useless at MSI & got destroyed by G2 (2nd LEC seed). Wouldn't be surprised if they get outperformed by another lower seed of their own region at an international event. 👍
