No one else comes close to matching Gordeeva and Grinkov for showing their passion and love on the ice. G and G were by far the most romantic pair ever seen in figure skating. I don't think anyone has ever matched them technically or artistically either.

It’s really strange how sometimes the Olympic channel will misidentify Olympians. That last extended clip of skaters during the segment about Pakhomova and Gorshkov isn’t them at all. I’m pretty certain that’s Irina Rodnina and Alexander Zaitsev, the 2-time Olympic champions in pairs. In any case, it’s obvious that’s not a clip of ice dancing because they perform a lift above the head which is illegal in ice dancing.

That's what i thought. By the way Rodnina-Zaitsev were married as well.
Melissa and Denis (first couple) did an exhibition skate and created a routine with Johnny Weir that had all 3 on the ice at the same time. The programme is called Fallen Angels, there's proper interaction between all 3, rather than a pair and a single skater just doing their own thing at the same time - both men lift Melissa together at one point and there's other moves that all mesh together. It's an amazing piece of choreography and skating, and one of my favourite routines ever.

Saying Ekaterina Gordeeva found love again with Ilia Kulik but never forgot Sergei and wrote My Sergei: A Love Story is misleading. My Sergei was released before she began a relationship with Ilia. Also, she and Ilia divorced in 2016 and she married David Pelletier last year.

You put Pakhoma and Gorshkov as number one, and yet the skating routines you are showing are that of Irina Rodnina and Aleksander Zaitzev. I mean, come on! At least get the correct routines. And I agree with the other comments - Gordeeva and Grinkov are number one by a long shot.
I think the presentation was just a random list, not by category. It would have helped to dispel arguments if it was presented chronologically.

Torvil and Dean were never real life couple. They have been very close friends/soul mates and skating partners for 40+ years ( since they were teenagers). Jayne Torvil has been married to American Phil Christensen for 30 years and they have 2 children ages 18 and 14. Christopher Dean has been married twice, firstly in 1991 for 2 years to ice dancer Isabelle Duchesnay. He was then married to his second wife Jill Trenary from 1994 to 2010 and they have 2 sons aged 21 and 20.
Christopher Dean has been in a long term relationship with his real life partner (retired skater) Karen Barber since 2011(but they have had been friends for decades).

on the last sequences of your video there weren't Pachkomova/Gorshkov ,there were Irina Rodnina and Alexander Zaitsev ( four time Olympics gold couple) ,and they were married ,also. Irina returned to the competitions after birth a child ,and won her 4th Olympics gold .

Wish I had not wasted my time. Where are the Protopopovs? They invented the 3 death spirals which they called by other names. They also invented some of the lifts still used today and were the USSR's first skaters to win a medal at the Winter Olympics gold in 1964 and 1968.
