  • I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice, but my own lived experience with CCI.
Part 1 - I’m four months post PICL. I talk about the procedure logistics, and my own case.

First I would like to thank you for recording and sharing your experience with stem cell procedure and healing. It means a lot to us dealing with CCI/AAI.
Then I would like to ask you two things - Who did you do the procedure with and also, I saw in some other videos of yours that you are wearing soft instead of hard collar. I’d like to hear your experiences with it and reasons why you chose soft instead of hard.
I’ll be following your updates and progress and chearleading for your healing. 🍀

@@MissHaotic thank you for supporting me from afar on this really difficult journey! As you know, CCI is just so incredibly challenging to live with.
I wear an aspen hard collar for travel (plane, medical appointments etc) and a wheelchair. I use a soft collar for walking :) I need the extra stabilizing for lateral flexion and extension for travel and to protect from sudden whiplash

Have u been evaluated for Tethered Cord? (And do you have lower body symptoms ?)
Also great job - you’re moving along and trying things and I think you’ll feel the benefits with a bit of time ❤

I think I heard wrong- did you say no pain meds?!!!!

Yes I didn’t use them! The pain was bad but I avoid meds if I can! I used heat. My neuro symptoms are much more difficult so the pain was welcome because the inflammation felt stabilizing for me, and that helped me cope.

@@ItsStabilityTime so it wasn’t as bad as you thought? I mean pain wise.
