It makes me really happy to see that an old discipline is being glorified with a healthy promotion. I was on my 3rd brown belt when I had to quit martial arts due to spine injury. Nowadays, I wish to continue where I stopped. Cheers to these amazing fighters 🎉
Apparently it’s the 3rd most painful injury. I dislocated both at the same time during a ladder related injury. What sucks is the 90% chance 3:58 to re-injure after, and I’ve had about a dozen since then.

Glad to see that Karate is evolving and becoming effective again. The hardliners who kept it traditional at all cost and not allowed modernation and evolving of Karate ruined this sport.
The real problem was when they broke with tradition and stopped training full contact so that everyone could do it for fun. Like most martial arts it used to be way more brutal
Karate used to be a legit form of martial art even on par with muay thai. As previously stated, it's been watered down to allow more people to participate. Go watch old karate fighting tournaments and see how different it is from the olympic sport.
Because they are not real karatekas and don’t really know how to throw powerful punches or just basic boxing…so use the primal instictive strikes… still effective but not karate.
Karate arm punches are not that effective, because of technic they based on. Karateka couldn't defense himself at a short distance, because the main defense in Karate is movements, not blocks. So, because of technical features, karateka usually has hight speed, but not really good punch technic and not really good blocks.
@@そらーいけいけー Karate punches are static, they have no dynamism and dynamic power & movement behind them, you just there as a sitting duck punching from the hip with being effectively adaptable and allowing to block & punch from somewhere else.
Never watched karate until 10 minutes ago via that Varga Azouz fight and I'm sold. Funnily enough, I randomly stumbled upon Varga after randomly watching Rizin's The Match 2022 followed by a few kickboxing matches. Love hearing Bas and GSP together, the set looks amazing and I'm sold. UFC feels like a sterile mess atm so I guess this and One will fill that void just fine!
The fact we got Bas involved had me sold on the entire package. Then they went and got involved with HBAR (Hedera) made me so flipping happy to see. The stage setup is absolutely too notch and the tech they aligning with is next level. Absolutely stoked for the next 5 years.

Bro, I felt that first one. I literally have been kicked like that and his reaction was exactly the same I had.
