There is never a dull moment with you two. Ron!! How dare you compliment another woman’s biscuits 😂😂😂
The audacity of that man, seriously
:( lol
@@EarlyAmerican don’t make him anymore biscuits lol
@@frontierpatriot Ron, in the famous words of the “Soup Nazi” from Seinfeld “ no more biscuits for you “ 😂😂
LOL!!
I would be interested in watching the build of your 1820's home 🏡 👍
Yes, yes, and yes. I would love to see some of that!
German here. In Germany, most people buy their Christmas trees the week before Christmas and put it up inside on Christmas Eve‘s day (24th) and decorate it. It then stays in the home until around the second week of January or so.
Just a wonderful video! You’re both awesome people and we all love what you do. Can’t wait for the home build updates.
Thanks so much!
You should be glad that Ron loves your cooking and is more than happy to eat anything you cook!
Any man would do. My girl makes such simple dishes n always talks about how she is no good in cooking. I agree that those r no special dishes but idk why I love em! Maybe its the love? I guess Ron would agree....only difference is...Justine is a great cook.
Your soup looks sooo good !! You said building a summer kitchen ? Will you put a cooking fireplace in it ?Or in your house ? Can't wait to follow you on your amazing journey !!
Listening to your conversation is like chicken soup for my soul! About Christmas decorating, while other people are out to the shopping malls and going nuts on Black Friday, I put up my porch lights and a little tabletop tree while playing vintage seasonal music. Nothing comes back down until Three Kings Day in January. I just feel the lights and colors are so good for people to see in the wintertime.
Bahaha...🤣😂 I can't tell y'all how much I love both of you🤣😂 y'all are precious. 🤣
I love these two sweet characters.♥
Love you guys I needed your happiness today as we’ve had a death in the family and you both make me smile
God bless you
Emily I'm sorry for your loss
Oxoxox thank you for the joy
I'm sorry Emily, god be with your family and I'm thinking of you ❤️
That looks delicious I love soup. Ron sure is a character I put my tree up the Saturday after Thanksgiving.God bless you both I enjoy watching you guys
I would like to ask you to please make candles again , but add some essential oils in them like oil from the orange peel, or some lavender flowers into an oil? Thank you for that and love the info you provide on the colonial times!
Building the house would be a fascinating utube subject. I am excited for you both 🥰🥰
SO DELICIOUS and comforting especially for someone sick back in 1828! The crackers look like "Wheat Thins" which I know are not really Wheat Thins but I wonder if Wheat Thins was inspired by these traditional crackers?
Nice video about all your utensils and pans! Watch out that you dry those tin items very well as they will rust!
Thank you for what you do. You two make the world a better place. Lovin' the kitchen ironworks tour! Can't wait to try this soup.
I love watching yr videos. U have inspired me to learn how and get back to basics. I’ve started with making butter. Found me a small crock. Keep up the videos. Love them love u 2 yr so stinking cute!
I didn't know that about Colonial Williamsburg! Very interesting. I love Colonial Williamsburg Christmas decorations.
P.S. I was SUPER worried about you all finding an area with a lot of land. I am VERY happy to learn that you were blessed with it. It makes me feel like dreams can come true.
I could use some of your soup today it would hit the spot as I have the flu . Love you guys.
Feel better soon!
get well soon!
I love that you used the craft from Kandye's video this week. Bet it smells good
Nutmeg, the magical spice! My mother always added nutmeg to her chicken soup, and so do I.
Another Fabulous Chew & Chat; but come on Justine; You never really "Just Taste" the Food. You always have Full Servings of Everything You Cook. It's a Wonder Poor Ron gets anything at all to Eat; LOL. Your just as Cute as can be Justine!😆
That's cuz she taste it when she's cooking it you could see it on their other channel
@@dawnyofthelight
I Know that she has two Channels! Been Watching them for a long time and I Love them Both 💘
I beg to differ however on your response! Hopefully we all taste our food when we're Cooking to check on the Seasoning. Most of Us don't have a full helping before we sit down at the Dinner Table to eat; which Justine does.
My Comment is not meant to hurt anyone! Just observing the Facts & making mention of what are probably in other viewers thoughts & minds but are afraid to say anything.
I'm just the opposite! 😊 Justine does eat before they film Frontier Patriot, but she eats very little at that time. It's Ron who can't get enough food. I saw him eat 9!!! beef patties once along with whatever else she fixed. She only ate 1. And he never asks her if she would like to have more before he polishes off whatever is left.
We used to drive all the way from St. Mary’s to St. Genevieve to look at Christmas decorations when I was a kid❤
Wow!!
@@EarlyAmerican Mom and Dad had an Oldsmobile Cutlass and it was so much fun for us kids!! I ❤️ St. Genevieve!!! I live in Oklahoma now and miss my home so much!!
When Ron was snapping the crackers and Justine was doing the hands open motion behind him, I absolutely LOVED it, I couldn’t stop giggling. I adore watching the two of you !!! As I said in a comment about one of y’all’s other videos, “ y’all are my happy place I go to“ every time I’m watching the videos. Thank you both for bringing so much joy, laughter and making my heart and soul feel at peace. ❤❤
I wanted to ask how many hours a day are you in character. I know you have modern lives or we wouldn't be watching you on UA-cam. LoL. I admire both of you and anyone else who do what you do in the re-enactment community. I wish I'd know about it when I was young. God bless you both!!!!!
its about 50/50 lol Thankyou so much! :)
Absolutely beautiful winter scene
Justine!
Have you ever read Kaskaskia - The Lost Capital of Illinois by David MacDonald & Raine Waters? It's a great book on local history! The section on architecture is amazing, and there's quite a bit of information on Ste. Genevieve.
Love your channels! 🌞💛💯🏆
I really enjoyed the Potatoes and Egg video inspired by your mother and her Assyrian family recipe. Would love to see another video of a Savory dish that may have been a recipe during the Early American period that may have borrowed /inspired from another country.
This was so fun and informative! I love conversing about things like this! You guys are so interesting and informed!❤
Can’t wait to see the start of construction on your house. Please let us see & tell us about the details 👍
Just rewatching this video & I have to comment on dresses. Justine I whole heartedly agree dresses and skirts provide better air-conditioning than pants. 😁👗
I died laughing at the cracker cracking. How are you guys just so naturally funny??😅🤣😂
Sorry I missed the live chat, chicken and rice or chicken noodle soup-it makes a good meal, love it (grew up with comfort food ) make a grilled cheese with it. Always satisfying! I've been to colonial Williamsburg, it's so interesting and historical. Good call Ron, history is fun to learn, and old architecture is beautiful because engineers dont design like that anymore (too plain, square, boring)
Also in the Philippines we start decorating for Christmas on September 1st 😂 The 'ber' months (brrr 🥶) are when we celebrate Christmas. Then new years sometimes lasts until February 😂
I made this today with dry parsley and no nutmeg, every loved it
Thats one wild hair duo !
Love your channels. I find it very informative to watch
I was the 500 like. I’m so excited to see the new house progress. Blessings to y’all. 🤗
Our Christmas tree goes up first weekend of December
You guys are amazing! I am enjoying your channels.
Greening up the house in the cold winter months. Especially at Christmas.
I recently discovered this channel and I'm loving it. Thanks for your effort to bring something so wonderful to your viewers.
So fun to have discovered your channels -- you two are the sweetest couple!! Thanks so much for helping us "feel the roots of REAL LIFE" again!!
Thank you so much!!
You guys are too funny! I love your channel!!! Can't wait to see other cool stuff you both are doing!!
Beautiful business card! Thanks for sharing all about your purchases. Love seeing you cook and share about how you got interested in this lifestyle. I agree simple food is the best, so nourishing!
I have a halloween tree up from the fish weekend of September, then Christmas tree up the day after thanksgiving. Then, when my daughter was little, she missed Christmas so much that I started keeping the tree up and decorating I for Valentine's Day, St Patricks Day, then Easter. It comes down after Easter, for the summer. I thought about getting fake palm tree for the summer lol.
7:40 killed me 😂 love you two together!!! And congrats on the house as well! 💜 very exciting
So enjoy spending time w/you two. God bless...
I was craving chicken soup and you made it! Another great video!
Love your videos!! I love history, and you make me smile and remember when the world wasnt so crazy! 🤗🤗
This channel is blessing, thank you guys you are wonderful people 🤍🇺🇸
Hahaha! Loved the cracker snapping! 😆
Wonderful video! You two are great & make me want to live like an early American. It’s fascinating!
I watch y’all on smart tv but can only like and post through my iPhone.. love yalls channel
The soup seems to be so comfort, perfect for the cold weather; a person recovering from the flu or just because.
Love your decor.
I put my Christmas decor in November.
Thank you for sharing where you got your pots and utensils.
Justine I love your storytelling at the end of your Chew and Chat series. I hope you continue. Reminds me of my childhood. ❤
I absolutely adore the both of you! What an awesome couple!! XoXo sending love from Illinois!!
We used to take cloves and oranges and stud the cloves into the oranges, and would tie bundles of cinnamon sticks with festive ribbons and hang them around the house.
I love you guys! Justine, I could watch you cook all day, so soothing. Stay safe and healthy!
Way to go Ron on the crackers and soup looked delicious just had chicken n rice soup last week. I am thrilled you found your forever property excited to come along on your journey!
I set up my Christmas decorations at the beginning of October! I’m a Christmas fan!
Extremely happy for yall getting your land! Congrats! Can't wait for the vlogs or videos of it coming along, if that what your planning to share with us! I'd love to see! It would make great awesome content!
You guys are awesome! And Ron is one lucky guy.
Thanks guys, I love your channels💜
Thanks for watching!
In the Philippines we have a dish called Arozcaldo, it's like rice chicken stew as well I think you can try it. It's so yummy and best on winter or rainy days❤
Congratulations on the building home ,
I am so much enjoying your videos. I want to try the soup!
Congratulations on the land !!!!
Great Job on that meal :) Love the look of that Soup! Those Crackers Ron made look great too 👍 hope to see how they are made:) God Bless you guys :)
I had to wait a day to watch this as Justine's cooking video made me so hungry! YUMMY 😋 SOUP!
Mocha sure is a big beauty!
God bless & direct y'all! Praying for you all to do well!
Congratulations. Can't wait to see the new house.
Ron, wonderful job on the crackers, my man! Haha. Old Lady Mary, quite flirting with Justine's man!!
Ron is being much nicer and more appreciative of her, I approve. Love the cooking support from Canada :)
Soup looks delicious 😋 congratulations on both channels success 👍💙
Thank you both for such lovely and wonderful videos!!! Blessings !!!
thankyou for your kind compliments!! :)
Missed this last night due to storm in Florida! Now to relax with a cup of coffee.🙂
Love the video! BTW, Justine, I've been a fan of Vegeta for almost 20 years now. A friend from Germany introduced us to it -- it made her salad dressings amazing. I love using it in my soups and risottos. So delish!
Watching on this cool day as I'm eating a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. Fitting indeed! Love both channels! Great as always..Blessings and respect!
I just found your channels. I love all the knowledge that you share. I was wondering if you do any crafts, like sewing, spinning, or, knitting. I feel like I could have lived in the 1880s.
yalls home is so beautiful it’s very autumnal and cottagecore it’s so pretty and cozy, i would love to live in a cute cozy home like this c:
Trees in my family have always went up on thanksgiving, my mother would take advantage of feeding us by saying if we eat then we can put up christmas decotations, then take them down on christmas day after we eat and open gifts
Another wonderful video, and wow does that chicken soup ever look delicious! If you ever do another Q&A I was just wondering what attracts you two to the early 1800's? As in, out of all the historical periods you could have picked to immerse yourself in what makes the early 1800's so appealing and special to you? Thank you for all the great videos and best wishes to you and yours!
Thanks guys, it's been a while sense we checked in but what a treat! So happy to hear that you got some land and are under way with your dream. Please stay strong in your relationship, it can be stressful when you are building a house. As for the Christmas tree.... We put ours up on Christmas eve and take it down January 6th. In regards to the questions.... #3 thanks for letting us know that its a quarter horse, #4 Where do you put the quarter? :)
Great video!. Justine, could you do a video on your cooking utensils and cooking pots? And, Ron, would you consider filming the clearing and building your new 'forever home'.
I love to listen to you both. You have Great, yummy food!! And very Interesting historical information!
I agree,i like simple foods. YOU get to taste the flavors .
Tree goes up day after Halloween every year!!!!❤️😉Great video again 😊
I also make toast on a cast iron griddle . Tastes so much better !
I put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving too. If I do it sooner I get tired of it before Christmas. How can you hate salt...I love it!
I love Heidelberg! I lived in Bad Bruckenau, up in northern Bavaria
Great catch up video, soup looked amazing. Curious will you be able to have any conveniences in your new kitchen build like running water etc.?
I just made Avgolemono, greek chicken soup, w my fam. It turned out great! This video inspired me. Thanks!
lovely tribute to the veterans
I agree Justine when i wear a long dress it is always coller to me and my legs are cold rather than if i wore snug pants that make me warmer.skirts and dresses are great during hot months.
I put my tree up the first week of December and take it down the weekend after the Epiphany. I am going to check out Candy’s website for traditional decorations.
listening to this while studying !♡♡ im so excited for the house ^^
Fajita is faheeta sounded out. You guys are the best!! Love your channel!! I am an Arkansas native and have visited Missouri many times! Beautiful country
Girl we're not talking about Hispanic food here! Though I love fajitas too. It's called Vegeta seasoning a favorite with Middle Eastern grannies.
It was awesome to meet you both today!!
I can’t wait to try this! I loved your barley soup, so I am writing up the receipts of this one even without trying it. My heirs will get the recipe cards and maybe this cooking will be enjoyed for years to come! I will give you and the original recipe credit. Thanks!
