After watching this video, I downloaded the mod and my friend helped out with a map.
We're about four hours in and we're lost. The map looks like abstract cubist art. We still have not found the Mantis claw.
This is a good mod.
Making maps for the randomized environments is incredibly fun and challenging. Mine span several pieces of paper.

I like, how even in the chaos, there seems to be an almost-clear progression
as someone who plays a lot of room randomizer, the "oh" moment of entering the white palace- especially path of pain- is very real
I'll always remember when I crossed my first randomized fog wall in Dark Souls and Demon Firesage smacked me

Ok but the map that’s in the thumbnail is exactly what I wish someone could code into the room randomized mod. I know it’s completely unrealistic to attempt because there are just far too many variables but I still wish it were possible
While there isn't a coded version in the mod itself currently, a document exists that allows you to manually rearrange the map yourself.

This is the coolest room random run I've ever seen. Not to mention how skilled he is to clear those rooms without dashes. Especially those PoPs and White Palaces

Killing the Soulmaster like it was easy had me quaking. I remember how much I struggled
I feel you, Soulmaster nearly made me quit the game the first time I played.
@Tony995 Yeah, my brother got stuck at him as well do he asked me to beat him and I did it first try. I actually like his fight now, it was hell the first time.
Soul Master was alright for me? I think I raged a little but I died to him like 3 times in my first run. My biggest fucking issue in my first run was against that soul warrior. I somehow died to that little shit over 30 times

There was another randomizer run I watched on yt that didn't get the mantis claw until about an hour or two before finishing the game. It was *nuts*. Turns out that the bulk of the rooms in the game are built with the wall jump in mind and not having it means that some rooms require ridiculous workarounds to traverse. Imagine playing the whole game that way
Grant Hoggan Yeah mantis claw really opens up the game. There’s only one area you can’t access with mantis claw and dash and it’s fungal core I believe.

After beating THK multiple times I only now noticed that in the instant that he explodes (17:51), the Radiance appears for a frame...

This legit looks fun and scary at the same time. Super endgame rooms with no abilities right off the bat but it feels like a completely new game now. I wish you could do all this build into the game.

The worst part about item randomizers is that there's a possibility of only getting the mothwing cloak after beating grimm
Sometimes I have self esteem and say "I beat Colosseum 3! Maybe I'm getting better at the game"

Honestly somehow, still baffled that happened, the first time I encountered the Soul Master, I first tried it with only nail damage, because I thought that I couldn’t use spells since they cost so much, which I could use for heals…
This is really just a Roguelike Platformer and I love it.
The reason grimmchild left you in the final cutscene is because they didn’t want to be sealed in an egg

The one labeled "Dreamer" without a name may have been for the Broken Vessel, since it activates the infected crossroads the same way the dreamers do.
Does it? I didn’t know that, cause I don’t think I went to crossroads in between getting wings and lurien
@@laundrybasketgamers Yeah, I always activate infected cross roads thanks to Broken Vessel before any of the regular dreamers. Obviously, it isn't a dreamer themselves, but the similar functionality may have led to the correlating name.
Monarch Wings a also activate Infected Crossroads. “The Dreamer” is an item from the rando that increases the number of dreamers killed by one. The game has animations and texture for different dead dreamer combinations, but internally, I am pretty sure which dreamers are killed is just a value of 0 to 3.
Man, I sure do love exploring this vast kingdom that two people spent years painstakingly making by hand.

tbh room rando has been one of my favourite aspects of the mod, besides scattering items to the four winds :)
I’ve never beat this game I can’t get past the first hornet fight although I’ve been training and hope to beat it soon (I just realized the training was mostly undertale but hey I still beat undertale lol)

I can say from experience that you will get better. The only boss I beat first try was massive moss charger and maybe marmu but now after dying 100s if not 1000s of times I've beaten most things in the game
my first room random i got so unlucky, i also used the cursed items, so split attacks, claw and cloak, you can only pogo in the begging, and that was prettu much it till the end, in the last 30 min of the run i finally found claw, cloak, and upwards swing, also black egg was one of the last rooms i found which was very anoying.
