Me and my best friend went out fishing today and it was some of the best fun we've ever had, we had only about 2-3 hours because he was going somewhere but in the time we managed to catch 3 6-8lb channel catfish in the big river by our homes
On 38th Ave and Indian School at the Grand canal, a homeless dude set his bags down 4 feet away from me, and took a bath with the ladder in the canal while I was fishing 4 feet away. It's almost unbelievable. That's a good spot for a 2-hour bass challenge for sure. That's good you like to feed the fish I throw my corn in also. I like that you showed the ants and stuff on the ground real quick in the clip. Gives a feeling of the environment in the video
100% some days are a grind, other days it's too easy. Days like this where you catch enough fish in a couple hours to make a quality video... such a good feeling! Fun action and easier to edit the video.
It’s a catch and release only pond and also reclaimed water so unfortunately no haha. I do wanna get a catch and cook video done at some point I’m just not super experienced with all of that stuff
This is incredible content Porter! I live in AZ and I wanna get into fishing so your content is great for finding good places to fish and what baits and lures you use for certain fish! What fish would you say tastes the best?
I found a spot on my local stream that is loaded with carp and I always see at least one individual that is definitely over 20 lbs. I've tried using corn, bread, and nightcrawlers/red worms, but they won't hit any of it. I've tried bottom fishing and letting the bait drift under a bobber. What do you recommend?
Go lighter line and smaller hooks and weightless if you can. Those big fish are smart and have seen everything so you have to be as delicate as possible. Also if you can see them they can see you
I'm doing a series where I ask people for a lure recommendation and try to catch a lure to catch a fish on that lure. What lure would you recommend? It has to be under 15 dollars though.
@@wnvoorhees if it’s big it’s almost always a blue, the Nile tilapia don’t get as big. Nile tilapia tend to have more defined bars in the body and blue tilapia are usually a little more solid color with pinker tails. I’m sure there’s a lot of random hybrids here too that can make it impossible to confidently identify but the majority of what we have are Niles in Arizona
@@FishingWithPorter Thanks. I enjoy your videos. Can you do a part two on the video where you caught all the species and get some of the ones you missed
